However, if I eat carbs like bread or pasta, I still get bound up. If I don't have a bowel movement for 2 days, I take Dulcolax at bedtime on the 2nd night and it works overnight with no intestinal pain and no diarrhea. It's not something you should take daily but, when necessary, it does the job.

My doctor instructed me to buy this brand as part of a colonoscopy preparation. I have not used them yet but since the doctor performs these tests daily he obviously knows that they work. For that reason a Much smaller dose should work for occasional constipation issues. His instruction sheet called Dulcolax by name so I did not chance the great value version although it appears to use the exact same ingredients.

When it comes to doing a survey on food or a laxative like duralax I'm not sure what to say because I can't tell other people if these items are good for them.

Dulcolax is a great source for constipation. Easy to swallow, tiny pills. No taste or aftertaste at all. Always works overnight for me. Some medications I am on can cause constipation, this really works!

I really like these tablets. However, they are very tiny round tablets. If you have trouble holding tiny tablets, I would not suggest these,. I like the way these work gently over night, however, if you find that you are pretty constipated. I would take 2 tablets. (Don't worry, its ok)
