Duncan Hines Signature Perfectly Moist Coconut Supreme Flavored Coconut Cake Mix, 15.25 oz

I bought the coconut cake. Made it with the Dolly Parton recipe. The Milk, 4 eggs and whole stick of butter. I purchased coconut pieces to go in between 2 layers and all over the top and sides. Used the Buttercream frosting. It was so good. Heavy cake. Took to a party. It went fast. Will definitely buy again.

Ok absolutely loved thos cake! I wanted to try this for my Birthday this week. So glad I did! Super sinple and easy to follow the instructions. My 9 year old daughter did it all on her own for me. I absolutely loved the taste and texture of this cake mix. Definitely recommend 10/10

I followed the directions on back, but I also split each layer in half giving me 4 layers. I spread cherry jam on 2 layers and the buttercream frosting on the 2 other layers. Reminded me of a red zinger with the jam and coconut. Was very good.

Top notch! This coconut cake mix is awesome--very tasty and fluffy. Paired with the white buttercream frosting and coconut and it was gone by the weekend. On par with bakery cakes I've purchased. Wow.

Made this via package directions...mostly. I used 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk whole milk to equal 1 cup. Added a teaspoon of coconut extract to batter. Just make homemade frosting using powdered sugar, butter, cream cheese and coconut extract. Toasted some sweetened coconut flakes in oven and sprinkled on top! Does taste good as cupcakes versus a layer cake.

There is nothing special about this cake mix or the final product. There is not even a hint of coconut. The only coconut you would get in this recipe comes from the frosting and the coconut flakes, which you add on your own, and are not part of the boxed mix. There is NO COCONUT flavor in the boxed mix by itself. Maybe if you added tons of coconut extract, things might be different, but as-is, it is bland and tasteless. In a blind taste test, there would be no way for anyone to tell that this cake was coconut flavored.

Very moist, but did not have a good coconut flavor. Most of the coconut flavor came from the coconut on top.

I was trilled to see Dolly's cake mixes for sell at Walmart and so I ordered. But they were not like they are mentioned on the box. Coconut didn't taste anything like it even you are required to add your own to the mix. Same as the banana mix, you add banana pudding mix it. Same didn't taste anything like bananas. The icing tastes like all the others out there. Plain and boring.
