This little pill splitter is the best one I've ever used. It is shaped like a small rectangular compact and stays closed in my bag until I open it. I love the rubberized cutting bed that securely holds pills in place while cutting. No more hoping the pill will be evenly split like so many other splitters. It has an area that can hold several cut pills (depending on how big the pill was in the first place) so I can split a weeks worth in one sitting and have a safe, convenient place to keep them. It comes in different colors. I chose purple and I love the color. It is well made and I expect to use it for several years. It is also very reasonably priced.
Very good I love it, you will too, its got silicone to firmly hold the pills, so you get a accurate cut. Others slip and mess up the cut. To different sizes. This is super accurate and nice !
It works great and easy to use. You can cut extra and store them in the cutter till you are ready for them.
Works great! Cuts pills perfectly and easily. Great quality. Small and compact. Saves me a lot of time and energy cutting my pills in half.
Out of 7 pill cutters purchased in the past this is by far the best! BUT, know that the color ordered may not be what you get!
This pill cutter is totally useless to me because it doesn’t divide the pills accurately! I have a few medications that have to be divided and this pill cutter never cuts the pill in half! Always inaccurate! Does not half pills accurately! Which is very dangerous considering I need exactly 1/2 of the pills per dose! I am very disappointed!
It took me one trial and 30 seconds to realize that this was not going to work for me. The casing is a little on the small size and a bit stiff to open. Maybe that is because it was new. The real issue I had with it was that I found it difficult to cut my pills into exact halves with it. Back story: I have been using a pill cutter that I got from the vet to cut round pills in half for my pet. The shape of the positioning area was that of a “V”. Any round pill of any size can be cut with this configuration. But now I have a pill that is oblong shaped. Specifically, it is roughly half an inch long and 3/16 inches wide. To cut an oblong pill in half you need to be able to brace it against a flat surface. I thought the DXIMRX pill cutter would do that, but when I got it I realized that it doesn’t really supply a flat area for a pill this small. But listen to the rest of the story… They don’t always say so on their website, but you can return an online order in person at a store. (Just bring something that shows the order number to do so.) I went to my local store and returned this item with no problems. Then I bought Walmart’s house brand of pill cutter and, wow, what a difference. Since I bought it in-house I cannot actually write a review for Walmart’s Equate Pill Cutter at its online catalog entry, so I will write a quick review here. It is awesome. First, it is half the price of the DXIMRX pill cutter. Second, it is uniquely designed to cut any pill of any size or shape, including little, oblong pills like mine. The mounting isn’t just flat; there is a mechanism that holds the pill in place so it doesn’t shift as you slice through it. (See the back of the package instructions.) But, don’t worry. That same mechanism will also hold round pills in place too. It is a very clever design. I have never seen anything like it. Whatever pill you have to cut, the Walmart Equate Pill Cutter is what you want, not this DXIMRX one.
This pill cutter didn’t work for me. I didn’t get the pill lined up perfectly, on the scored area and when I cut them I got thin slices or medicine “ dust”.Not good!
Sturdy and nice-looking case, but very dull blade, crushes rather than cuts. Plastic insert has a chemical smell.
This does not hold pill to slice it slips out and when it does cut pill moves so not cut in half more like 3/4 to 1/4 would not recommend because hard to get accurate cuts
