DYMO LabelManager 160e Portable Label Maker, Includes Silver Glitter D1 Label Tape

I bought this little label wizard because I heard it could turn any chaos into a tidy parade of words. The thing itself is a dream: the keypad is as intuitive as a coffee machine, and the print comes out crisp enough to make a librarian weep. I've gone through a few of the standard D1 cartridges and each one slides in like a well-behaved guest at a dinner party. The real adventure began when I decided to glam up my garage with the silver glitter tape. The moment I peeled that shimmering strip off the cassette I felt like a kid with a fresh pack of stickers. Unfortunately the glitter decided it was more interested in dancing in the air than hugging my shelves. It refused to stick to anything except the back of my hand, where it clung like a glitter-covered clingy ex. I tried to coax it onto cardboard, wood, even a freshly waxed car hood, but the tape was determined to remain a free-spirit. After a few frustrated attempts I swapped in a regular D1 cassette and the labels finally obeyed. They stuck to my filing cabinet, my pantry jars, and even my dog's collar (don't ask). In short, the device itself is solid, the ease of use is undeniable, and the standard cartridges are reliable. The glitter tape, however, is more decorative than functional - great for a one-off party favor, terrible for any real labeling job. If you need labels that actually stay put, stick with the regular tape and keep the glitter for art projects. This thing has earned a permanent spot on my desk, just don't expect it to hold your toolbox together with sparkle.

I had my old Dymo labeler for over 20 years before it died. I immediately ordered a new Dymo, and it's fantastic. Set-up took less than five minutes! The new model uses my old one's tape size (D-1), but it has lots of new features which I will definitely use! Thanks Dymo and Walmart!

I do not have easy access to the internet so I needed a label maker that did not require internet. I need to use this label maker indoors and out in our livestock barns. It is easy to use and fits in my hands well while I am working with it. Labels stick and are easily legible. I have purchased addition black on clear labels for ease of legibility in high work/efficiency areas of our home/farm. I had this exact label maker but after years of use, it finally quit working. I was so glad to find another label maker exactly like my old label maker and expect many good years of service from it.

This label maker is so versatile, I use it more often than I ever thought possible! I just labeled all my kids' school supplies for the year with it. What sold this item to me completely was the fact you can purchase super sparkly glitter tape to use with it! Its absolutely beautiful!

This is my second DYMO LabelManager *********. My first one lasted a long time and finally stopped working. I already had the label cartridges, so I purchased a new DYMO LabelManager *********.

This will be a gift so since it has not been used, I have no idea as to its quality. However, the delivery is the issue. I have asked and written several times that delivery should be made on the north side of the building because they'd at least have access to the entryway. Instead, it's left outside in the elements. This deliver came during a snowstorm. Luckily, I was here to grab it as soon as it was delivered. In the past I've seen items get buried or soaked. Please tell all delivery people to deliver to the north side of the building. Thank you

I purchased this Dymo because my old one fell and a part broke loose in the battery chamber. Since I still had 4 tape cartridges left that I wouldn't get reimbursed for, I bought this one. This model was upgraded to included a library of emojis and much more expensive as a result. This model wastes a lot of tape with wide gaps between print jobs. As a result, I've given up on it and purchased a Brother label maker.

I find this to be a bit over priced from others that comes with more attachments. The worst is no identifying manual of which button does what. Only instructions are for batteries and installing the cartridge. No other instructions on anything else. In order to figure out this device is to play around with it and guess. Not familiar with these buttons and a guessing game as well. Please include customers with full description of the device along with the exact type of cartridge for refills.

Doesn't come with the AC adapter so you can plug it in vs the six AA batteries it requires. It does have the plug in for the AC adapter and you can use one but it's sold separately.

I kept getting an error message that there was a label jam. I tried multiple troubleshooting suggestions. I couldn't get it to work.
