Great Antenna and The Right Price

Cooksfromscratch64 November 30, 2025

We have this antenna already and needed a new one. We don't have cable and have no intention to get cable. All those channels and nothing fit to watch on them. If you're tired of cable and only really want your local stations, this is the antenna for you. Will always get this one to use as long as it is available.

Works just as good as higher price antennas

Dmanderson November 2, 2013

Ordered this and if didn't work was going to return it back to Walmart. Had a antenna from my cousin that worked in side the house and was giving me problems. So I did a search and reviews and most people liked this antenna. I thought for 20 bucks if it didn't work I can return it. Had it inside house and got just as many channels but didn't want in side. Had a friend help me put it out side and used Dish-networks pole (got rid dish network) and is only 6 foot ( pole was suppose to come with this and it didn't) I got more channels. I got just as many channels as my friend that has a big antenna on top of his house and a few others in my neighborhood that also have big and high up antennas. I am out in the open more so that might help too getting more channels. So for 20 bucks I think this is just as good a a big higher priced antenna.

C-Ya later Comcast

inplacepictures March 26, 2014

After years of paying to much for services from other providers I decided to try going digital. Ordered this antenna and tried it out by just holding it in my hand inside the house. Scanned for channels and it found 21 channels. I invested moderately in a mast and some cable and installed the thing on my rooftop. I rescanned the channels and it picked up 67 channels. Well I was dumbfounded why I haven't had this for years. Nearest transmitters are approx. 70 miles away from my geographical location so it has a very good range. Young man at big box store where I purchased wire explained to me that I would need a signal amplifier at around 50 bucks, Wrong I needed wire. needless to say pleased is not the word for my experience with Eagle Aspen DTV2BUHF Outdoor Antenna, gonna save enough to by me a new TV, go get yourself one today!!

worked indoors too

etaoin September 9, 2013

this antenna is very very good! thought i'd try it indoors before going up on roof to install; hung it on a couple of pushpins in the wall above the tv.. and, unbelievably, picked up every station (total of 43) that i could get without cable... this is inside a meta-skinned mobile home, and the antenna picked up stations from up to 45 miles away, and from every direction!. best 25 bucks i ever spent.

Good for over the air digital TV

flhtc53 August 18, 2013

Purchased this unit to use for an attic installation. Picks up stations 25-30 miles away. Would highly recommend using a pre-amp with this unit such as the TVPRAMP1R sold by Walmart. Make sure you use a high quality coaxial cable (RG-6) for the installation or reception may be limited.

For UHF this is a very good digital antenna.

Jdepp February 9, 2014

1st I want to say I have 3 other outdoor type antennas. One in a room up stairs and 2 in the attic. 2 are the large 80 x 100 inch antennas. And on UHF this Eagle Aspen antenna out performs all of them. The main reason I bought it was to watch Me tv. And it gets that station excellent. I have 13 stations in my area that I can receive and this antenna receives all but the 3 PBS stations which are 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 but it is a low watt station and the tower is 49 miles away. I set up the Eagle Aspen on top of a tv downstairs and it gets 10 stations without moving the antenna. Note I did not have trouble finding the stations. Just pointed it west where most of the towers are. Also I did not have to use a 24 db amplifier or pre amp to get those. Some of the stations are high vhf and the other 4 are Uhf. The towers are 47 to 49 miles from my house. The price for this antenna was great and it is small enough to use inside or on a pole outside. Note that you have to scan for the channels once it is pointed towards the towers. Also it gets the stations without sometimes loosing the signal like some antennas do.

EA DTV2BUHF vs. Stealthtenna

UTNEB January 12, 2017

We have a new Channel Master Stealthtenna ($29) attached to back of our house. I purchased it as a result of the numerous recommendations from “experts” and after reading the many consumer reviews praising its performance. A week or so after installing the Stealthtenna, I came across the many positive reviews for the Eagle Aspen DTV2BUHF, which mostly cite what a good value it is. At a cost of only $12.87, I felt compelled to buy one and compare. Placing the antennas outside at the same height and adjacent to each other, both pulled the same 29 channels, which is the best I could get after trying a host of different locations and angles for both antennas. While comparable in the number of channels received, the EA was slightly better at consistently pulling in CBS, which is one channel we periodically have difficulty receiving. Bottom line: Both antennas performed similarly, but for less than half what I paid for the Stealthtenna, the Eagle Aspen was clearly the better value in this comparison. Had I been aware of the EA DTV2BUHF before purchasing the Stealthtenna, the EA would have been my choice.

Simple, works well, easy to install

gregb49 April 4, 2013

Simple, works well, easy to install and comes with its own balun* and type F connector in a waterproof fitting. I was expecting to have to mount this in the attic, but it worked well downstairs, with no amplifier, connected directly to the TV, even though the transmitter is some 33 miles away. *From wikipedia A balun is an electrical device that converts between a balanced signal (two signals working against each other where ground is irrelevant) and an unbalanced signal (a single signal working against ground or pseudo-ground).

Poor TV Antenna Quality

BigMaggie2 March 17, 2014

I was disappointed in the number of stations received. My old cheapie indoor antenna that I was trying to replace does a better job than this model. I tried moving it to multiple locations, but gained some quality on some, but lost some quality on others.

Will not receive 7.1 (ABC) or 11.1 in the LA Area

ExpectMuchBetter September 23, 2014

The quality of manufacture is not an issue (for the price), but this antenna has two design flaws - 1) it is NOT also VHF (YES some DTV stations use the "High" DTV VHF band) and 2) this antenna has a polarity issue which I believe is Vertical and not also Horizontal. BOTH of these reasons are why you can't receive stations that are using DTV High-VHF and also use a Horizontal Polarity. In the LA area, channels 7.1 + (ABC), 11.1+ (Fox) and 13.1+ all use High-VHF. This situation is also in OTHER MAJOR CITIES. ABC and FOX apparently wanted to be "Mavericks" to the rest of the TV Broadcast industry. Also, don't bother with a "Pre-amp", doesn't help a bit. I'm modifying my antenna with a Horizontal "Dipole" to hopefully receive High-VHF stations.
