this is amazing for a home garden.we have hard red clay dirtt in our property. And this tiller turned over the hard clay soil. A lot easier to make the rows for planting our Veggie/fruit garden . i wish would of bought it sooner
Have not started the tiller yet so I don't know how hard or easy it will be but is why I bought a new one had to start my old one with starter fluid and if out didn't start right up that way had to pour gas in the carb to start it. This looks like a good tiller compared to my old one, has solid handles and tines I just don't like the dept bar the way you have to adjust it other than that it looks like it will hold up.
This thing is very versatile. My ground is extremely hard and rocky. I should have gone with a rear tine, but a buddy told me to go slow and start shallow. It bounced around for a bit, but once it started digging it just kept going. I was able to make multiple passes and although it took longer, I spent less and this thing did great!
Debated for a while about transitioning to a front tine tiller but so glad I took the bold step! Easy to crank and easier to handle. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.
My son was needed to put this together. Not as easy for me to put together as other reviews implied. However, once together, it runs great, starts easy after you figure out the choke and such and easy to guide. The ground needs to be worked up prior to using. This tiller is for garden maintenance not strong enough for tilling a new garden spot in unbroken ground.
Great tiller, plenty of power to break new ground or till the garden. Cranks on the first it second pull every time. The only negative is the included bolts that hold the tines on are too big and won't fit the holes without modifying the holes or buying smaller bolts.
the power level is great. I have very hard rocky soil with clay pockets everywhere it's hard to even dig a hole.it took me 30min to do what would have taken me hours to do by hand. as far as the operation of this tiller it's easy to use and cranks on the fist try every time so far The only reason I did not give a 5 out of a 5 is because the instructions are not the best and if you don't know what you're doing you will need help
This is my first time buying a tiller. I'm glad i got this one. it's easy to handle and does a great job. It was a little challenging putting together.
2 major problems. 1) the holes on the tiller tines were too small for the bolt to fit through, 2) the package was missing 4 bolts. The instructions state to cut the corners of the box to take it out. If you want to return it, you won't have a box to return it. So you'll have to return it to a store.
This item was a gift for someone. I gave the shipping address to Walmart when the order was placed. The item was shipped to my home address instead of the requested shipping address. Therefore, I did not uncrate or use the item in any way.
