ECOS Plant Powered Fruit & Veggie Wash, 22-Ounce

I never eat fresh produce without cleaning it first with Ecos produce wash. I gave it 4 stars for value for cost because it's a bit pricey. But I never let myself run out of it. I've tried other produce washes, but the smell of them isn't as tolerable as Ecos. Generally, I give it 5 stars even though I have to order it and it's pricey.

A reviewer here posted a nonsensical comment and photo, claiming she did not get what she ordered. Look closer and you see it is the same US company, run by women. This brand gets top reviews which is one reason I just bought my third bottle, each one lasts me over 2 years. Great for berries or grapes, the dirt floats off strawberries with this. I wet them with the spray in a bowl after removing the leafy crowns, toss them gently with my fingers, then fill the bowl with water for a short soak. The water in the bowl turns shady as this product does its work. With grapes I use a colander and gently toss them after spraying. They rinse off shiny and clean. The odor is light and not good or bad. The sprayer works well and is fully recyclable but it is better to re-use the sprayer for something else like a vinegar cleaner spray. The label will peel off for recycling if you add some hot water. The label has changed twice, the original green circle with a peach in the center is now gone. I think it is a mistake to keep changing the label, witness the aforementioned review. The brand name has always been ECOS by Earth Friendly Products.

This was my first time buying this brand of veggie wash. I just used it for the first time a few days ago on conventionally grown green grapes that were slightly past their prime peak ripeness. First I rinsed them in water alone and my bf and I tried them. Tasted like typical grapes with powdery/butter coating. Then I filled bowl with water, put the grapes in, sprayed about 4x, swished them around and rinsed with fresh water. They were really clean! No powdery residue. We tried the newly rinsed grapes and proceeded to eat the entire bowl. I like this one better than the other veggie washes and it didn't leave any kind of flavor behind. I did notice though that the last few grapes in the bowl seemed to ripen more quickly after being washed with the veggie wash so I made a mental note to eat the food soon after it has been washed.

I did not receive this product. Instead they sent ECOS Plant powered fruit and vege wash. I did not want that product and was actually looking for the EARTH FRIENDLY PRODUCTS fruit and vege wash just like in the picture. I will not order from here again. Not worth the effort to do a return
