I have used Scotch-Brite sponges for a few decades %26 they are the only sponges I use. They do have different textures for gentle scrubbing to heavy duty scrubbing. I use the blue version because it doesn't scratch anything but is still sturdy enough to scrub harder if you have burnt on messes. I don't have a problem with smells as I make sure to clean my sponges %26 let them fully air dry (I use a soap saver with nubs on top/bottom to hold the sponge up %26 allows air to flow around the sponge to dry it faster). You can also microwave or wash them in the dishwasher. Personally, I just rinse them off well, squeeze the water out %26 let them dry. They are durable %26 last quite a long time before you have to throw them out. I actually use the older sponges for other cleaning tasks before they hit the trash. I have 2 next to my sink at all times - one for hand washing dishes %26 one (older) to use to rinse/pre scrub dishes for the dishwasher. I don't use the sponges for the counters anymore (I use cotton rags for that) but they do work well for it. I do occasionally use the sponges on my glass top stove %26 the blue sponges don't scratch it. I use them to clean the regular size oven %26 my air fryer oven without any issues too. I have used the gentle %26 harsh scrubbers %26 regular sponges over the years, depending on the task - but I mostly use the blue zero scratch sponges for daily use.
Since it has two sides it can be used on Stainless Steel utensils as well as Glass or Ceramic ones. Also it takes out tough stuck on foods, grease as it cleans. They last at least a month. Tip is to keep it clean by first washing in warm water and soap then either put it in the Microwave for 30 seconds or simply place on top rack of your dish washer. I clean mine at least three times a week. Overall a very smart buy.
I've been using the yellow and green sponges like most people. We were still stuck at home. So I came online to buy more. I saw these on the page and decided to give them a try. They don't dry out and get hard like the others. They are actually sponges. I use these on my new pans and they work better than the green scrubber. I've also used one in the bathroom. They do a great job in there, too. I will buy again.
This is the perfect sponge for all your cleaning tasks. The scouring side gets all the stuck-on bits without damaging anything like the stronger green scrubbers I used to use. Then the sponge side wipes away everything else. It's my go-to wipe. From the 6-pack, I keep one in the bathroom, two in the kitchen, one with my gardening supplies...
Great bargain for the money. I cut each one in 3 equal pieces and is just the right size for one to scrub metal sink and one for dishes and one for bathroom sink etc. Using a smaller size allows a smaller throw away when finally worn out and just get another of the smaller cut size from kitchen drawer and on my way. Lasts long each piece and quantity lasts forever lol. If I end up with a really stuck on food, ok with throwing the one I cleaned with since only 1/3 of the original size.
This is the perfect sponge. My wife loves this sponge because it is the best for cleaning and to soak up liquids.
These are durable without scratching my personal items . I used the sponges for washing dishes, cleaning up messes around the house with minimal effort. The cost for six sponges was reasonable and I would recommend.
I've come to expect good quality products from Scotch-Brite. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to these sponges. You'll be lucky if they hold up for a week or more with daily use before they start completely falling apart. It's so much fun having to pick out pieces of broken-off sponge out of my clean dishes... I wouldn't recommend these. If you're looking for a sponge to last a few days, grab these. If you want longevity and usage, look elsewhere.
I have used these scrub /sponges for decades. They would last for months before they began tattering (or if someone forgot to squeeze one out), and then they 'graduated' from dish to surface-cleaning sponges. Starting 1-2 years ago, the quality dropped precipitously. The scratchpad side would detach from the sponge after less than 2 weeks of moderate use. I thought i got a bad batch (or two) but it's been the last 20 sponges in a row. I contacted Scotch-Brite and never heard back. I have been testing out a Brillo scrub/sponge for the past few weeks; it's smaller than i prefer but solidly intact and shows no signs of fraying or ripping apart. Not sure why Scotch-Brite wouldn't just nominally increase the price rather than drastically reduce the quality. I still have an unopened pack but it's too frustrating to use them.
I didn't receive this item. It wasn't the drivers fault it was Walmarts fault. Beware ordering from Walmart
