Pete the Cat Hot Dots is GREAT!!! Hot Dots makes learning fun for KIDS. It introduces children to basic math, alphabet, shapes and much more. I love it because it motivates my daughter to learn, She celebrates all her correct answers. In just one week she learned so much. I highly recommend Hot Dots, It's just awesome!!!

I used this product in my speech therapy sessions. The students loved it. I was able to target many skills including: following directions, numbers, letters, shapes, sequencing, patterns and more. It was a fun activity that I used as a "reward" at the end of our session and I was also able to use it for my lesson to target student needs. I liked was the hot dot pen has a larger size screw so it was so much easier to open.

A perfect interactive "game" for my 4-year-old. It is age appropriate and relevant to what he is currently learning in his preschool classroom. It is a perfect tool for long car rides...my 9-year-old daughter would read him the questions. Pete the Cat is one of his favorite book characters, so he was excited to look through the book and answer the questions. I highly recommend.

We received this set at no cost for my four year old son to review. We have a few Ace the talking dog sets as well and they have been well loved. My son loved this set even more than the Ace sets. He recognized Pete from books we have read and liked the sounds it makes when he gets the answer right. Since he can't read, when he plays with it himself- he is usually guessing- as he can't read the questions. When I read the problems to him- he is able to look for the correct answer and loves that it sings when he is correct. I really like the things they are learning in them- it seems to be at the right level for his age. He enjoys it and I am happy he's learning while playing! The only thing I noticed different from the Ace sets we have that could be considered a con is the fact that the pages in the book are a little less durable than before. So far, we haven't had any issues with that though. We love that the Pete pen works on the books we already had too!

I received this item to play with and review but the opinions are completely my own. Pete the Cat is a popular character in our house. We have every book available, and we are glad to have this set in our collection. My 3 year old son loves using the hot dots pen and hearing the sounds when he gets right answers, and even enjoys hearing when he gets it wrong. ;) It is a great way for my son and I to have some time together. I read it to him and he selects the answer. This book makes learning fun! We have played it numerous times and he still enjoys it. The pages are colorful and whimsical just like any other Pete the Cat book. This is by far our favorite hot dots book! If you are a Pete the Cat fan and are looking for fun ways for your kids to learn, these books are fantastic!!

Our kids really like the Pete the Cat character, they were familiar with him already from books we have so they really enjoyed a new toy with him involved. I really liked that games and questions were meaningful and followed a structure. We have a similar product that was given to us as a gift a year ago and I don't think the level of activity is as meaningful or thought provoking and it has some super weird juxtapositions of meanings of words with Disney cartoon characters. Our kids have kept going back to the Pete the Cat pen both independently and with us reading the questions to them a lot over the past week and a half, so they are definitely interested. It is also very portable and fits easily into a backpack - great for taking to restaurants or in the car.

I ordered several of the Pete the Cat Hot Dots Jr items. My son and I sat down together to work on the Preschool Level 2 card sets. I think the questions are good, but just in the first book we have worked on, Pete the Cat's eyes lit up red 12 different times when my son was selecting the correct answer. This has me discouraged to allow him to use the other sets I bought. I can't believe that We are the only ones to have this problem!
