great educational product
My grandson got right into this book. The Ace pen did the trick with him. He's 3 1/2 and loves it. I'm buying the Pre-K math one also.

Learning tools for toddlers
Bought this for our 3 year old grandchild. He excels in language, being able to verbally identify the entire alphabet along with the phonetic sounds. Bought this as a gift to help keep his interest in learning.

Really great educational toy.
This is a really good teaching tool for pre-schoolers. I have had Leap Frog devices and I believe Hot Dots measure up to them for a fraction of the cost. I really like it.

I love Hot Dots Jr. for preschoolers!
My 4-year-old granddaughter loves using the "Ace" talking pen to discover the answers. I like that it can be muted so it can be used as a quiet activity. Green or red lights indicate whether a choice is correct or incorrect. I received Hot Dots Jr. as a gift but I will definitely recommend this product to others. I would love to find more Hot Dot Jr. books to add to my collection.

Great for home or on the road
This set was a gift for my 4 y.o. She really likes Ace, the cute dog stylus that accompanies the Hot Dots Jr. Pre-K Reading set. He has 23 fun phrases and sound effects to help let the user know how s/he is doing. My daughter laughed the first time she realized Ace would vibrate after she answered three questions in a row correctly. One thing I appreciated about Ace was that he has a mute option. There are two books included in this set and they cover the following topics: Letter Recognition (A-Z, upper/lowercase), Sequencing (before/after), Story Sequence (Which picture completes the story?), Rhyming Words, Color Words, Letters and Words (Find letters that are in the word), Upper and Lowercase Letter Matching, Word Recognition (Match photo/word to a list of words), Letter Sounds, and a Challenge section that asks the child to find the letter that makes the beginning/ending sound of the item pictured. This set is a good fit for children interested in learning letters and their sounds. It is a good start towards reading mastery.
