I got this in the entire brush collection and had no idea what to do with it. Yes, it's very soft and "thin" but it turns out to be perfect for brushing off all the loose powder and eyeshadow that ends up out of place when I finish putting on my face. In fact, I use it for that purpose exclusively and I'm here to get another because I've misplaced it and realized that none of my other brushes will work as well as the fan brush.
I don't know why this has such a bad rating. It's very soft and gentle (so gentle that my mom likes to use it for face massages lol). I usually HATE with a purple polka-dotted passion using loose blush because I get uneven colored cheeks but this allows me to get the same, subtle color on both! It's a wonderful brush for only a small amount of money. Go ahead and treat yourself to a truly great fan brush!
I bought this brush specifically for highlighting and I love it. I use the side of the brush (pictures below)instead of the top so It collect more product and it works great! A lot of people here are complaining that it doesn't pick up product and is to flimsy and they obviously should've done their research it's a fan brush. Fan brushes aren't meant to apply product like this one. But if you work your way around it it works great
does no one realise this is a fan brush? Some people said it doesn't pick up much product...that is because it is meant for light application like a nice highlight. Someone said there is not many bristles...that's because it's a fan brush again for light application.
I always use E.L.F. And am pleased the majority of the time, however, I bought the cheaper version of this brush and thought it was a joke when I received it in the mail. It was so cheaply made, she'd on my face and wasn't very effective. I was angry but decided to try out this brush instead and was very pleased with the quality, it was like day and night. MY ADVICE: if you're just looking for nice brushes that will ONLY be used for eye make up, save yourself a buck or two and get the cheaper version, BUT if you plan on using brushes anywhere other than you're eyes, BUY THE STUDIO VERSION!! They are great quality and very effective.
This doesn't pick up nearly as much product as the highlighting brush. I do have to keep dipping this in highlighter to get the glow I want. However, I found it to be more precise to highlight the cheekbones It cleaned very easily and maintains its shape. I think this would be perfect for someone who doesn't want to blind people with their highlighter.
This fan brush is incredibly soft with enough bristles to sweep away fallout using short strokes. Powder application requires a micro fine loose powder, such as HD. Some , but not all, pressed powders would be too dense for anything but a sheer wash of slight color . It distributes the perfect amount of translucent mattifying compact powder but probably not enough of say, baked highlighter for those who want a more noticeable look. This brush des everything its packaging claims, which is fallout clean up and sheer powder application that won't disturb the rest of your makeup. It makes no claims as to firmness, so I don't understand some of the negative reviews.
Needed a brush for highlighters and so I got this thinking it would do the trick, and though it wasn't a completely terrible brush, it was too soft and sparse to do much by way of blending. I would have a stripe of highlighter on my face and would have to go back in with my finger or a different brush to get the edges. Could just be that fan brushes aren't for me, but this is something that I wish I hadn't bought because I never use it anymore.
Not really that great of a fan brush. It's very flimsy and doesn't apply much product. It works okay for flicking away fall out, but it's not the best for applying highlighter if you want a lot of glow. It would be okay if you didn't want to apply a lot of highlighter. I wasn't wow'ed by it, but it wasn't a horrible purchase either. It's just 'meh'. It's a good thing it is inexpensive.
I bought this a couple weeks ago, and it's terrible. I haven't even been able to use it once because it doesn't pick up any product. I really wanted to like brush, but I can't because it doesn't do anything. The bristles are too soft and there are barely any of them. Overall, I really disliked this brush:( Would not recommend
