e.l.f. Oil Control Primer Mist

I bought this along with the elf mattifying lotion, and together they allow me to stay shine free for 6 hours. I'm incredibly oily and I normally get shiny after 3 hours or even 2 hours on a bad day. I apply this after toner and before the lotion - which I then follow with my makeup. Seems to be the magic combo for me which has enabled me to actually forget about my skin for most of the day. My makeup also creases less which is an added bonus.

ive personally only just started using elf makeup as its never really stood out to me before in the shops. however for someone like my self with extremely oily skin, this primer controlled my oils under my makeup for 3-4 hours. I would definitely reccomend!

I bought this as a last attempt to find a primer that worked for my oily skin. I also sweat from my face. Which all primers before this one melted off. This one STAYS ON ALL DAY AND NIGHT and I couldn't love something more!!!

Bought this, skeptical about how a mist would work as a primer but elf has never steered me wrong. Well it works very very well! It's the only primer I use and it keeps me matte for at least 6 hours. Also, because it's a mist, not a gel or cream or heavy product like other oil control primers , my makeup no longer looks cakey. This makes my least favorite of all my foundations last for hours, so when I've got a quick trip I can still look nice without needing to dip into my high end products. It's a miracle spray. This picture is 6 hours in, no blotting!

Be mindful this is for people who need heavy duty oil control for their entire face. I have always had extremely oily acne prone skin. Now at 23 I'm oily, acne prone and very sweaty. I put this on after a pore filling primer then over my powdered foundation to set everything and it works like a dream. This is my face 6 hours into wear time in 95 degrees and 40% humidity at a concert sweating PROFUSELY. I got another 3 hours of wear time thanks to this spray and no cystic acne breakouts! Without this spray my foundation would be a broken up greasy mess. 10/10 recommend for sweaty oily makeup enthusiasts everywhere. My only criticism is that the mister really drenches your face, not at all a fine mist but adequately covers everything. Just be careful when spraying.

I just used this today and it makes my skin look beautiful! I hated wearing foundation before because I always get so oily that my glasses would fall off my nose. But today I sprayed this on my face before putting Urban Decay One and Done Foundation on, then applied foundation, and my skin looked flawless. I got a bit oily after 4 hours, but it was nowhere near I did in the past. I applied make up on at 11 am, and my makeup still looked good until 7 pm, when I took my makeup off. Normally at 7 pm, my eyelids are oily, my bangs get oily because of my oily forehead. But NOT TODAY! The mist is also strong so you don't need too much.

I've been using this product for about two weeks and it works really really well! My makeup would usually start breaking down and I would be oily almost immediately after stepping out of the house before this primer, but now it stays matte for up to 5-6 hours ! The only downside is the chemical smell but that gets masks quickly by my other makeup so it's fine :)

I have always suffered with oily skin leaving my make up looking greasy after only short amounts of time and have tried all sorts of products to help. I thought it was a lost cause and had pretty much given up but decided to give this a go when ordering some other e.l.f products... and it actually helped! My make up stayed put oil free for hours! Would definitely recommend!

I'm pleasantly surprised by this product. It has basically no smell, dries down kind of tacky to help foundation adhere. It kept me matter than I usually am and my makeup wore great throughout the day. The only negative was that I found the mister to be a little aggressive, but nothing crazy.

This spray wears pretty good under foundation, although I don't know if it really helps keep things matte. I actually like wearing it on my days off when I'm not wearing any makeup, makes me feel fresh & like my skin products are kinda sealed in. Warning: This spray is powerful!! definetely not a mist!!! Would never spray over makeup unless you want to get soaked lol
