e.l.f. Power Grip Matte Primer, 0.87 fl oz

Love love love this primer! I have combination skin and my t-zone gets super oily. I loved the original power grip primer, so i decided to give this a try to keep the oils at bay and it works really well and grips my makeup just as well as the original power grip! I like the packaging on this product better than the original, you squeeze this one out rather than the pump the original has.

Love this primer. My make up goes on great and stays put, highly recommend.

I can’t review the based on power, I lifted my weights but it just laid there motionless… more like “powerless”

I found everything I was looking for; I wish they had more Sephora products.

The texture of this product was very smooth as I applied it to my face before applying my make-up. My make-up went on very nice over this primer and it stayed put.

This primer is great! I struggle with hooded lids and eyeshadow will not stay with out creasing. It creasing in less then a half hour usually. I tried a thin layer on my lids with this before applying shadow for a shoot and it worked great! Still creased after about 3 hours because I have oily lids but I was able to buff some eyeshadow in again and good as new!

I love trying out new products especially when I think it is going to be a good dupe. They weren't lying when they said this primer was super sticky. I am still trying it out with different types of foundations, but overall it has held pretty steady!

For a long time I was looking for a primer that would give me that finish when applying makeup, and with this Power Grip Primer from E.L.F., I'm delighted—a perfect preparation for long-lasting makeup.

I really wanted to love this, but there was one thing that was a total deal breaker and I had to stop using it! So, I tried this primer for about a week with my NYX can’t stop won’t stop foundation. Completely fell in love with it! It applied very nicely and my skin looked smooth every time I do my makeup. Also, It did amazing controlling my oils, and at the same time, hydrated my skin. However, one day when the hot weather came and temperature went up, I was sweating. Thinking that my makeup was secure and no sweat or water could ruin this makeup, but boy was I wrong! I looked in the mirror and a bunch of white stream marks were on my face! I went to get a tissue to pat dry, but it lifted my makeup and patches of the foundation came off with it! Now, I think because the primer is water-based and my foundation is silicone-based, that they were not compatible. I’ve tested it a couple more times but this time just with water and it definitely left wet marks on my face and it did the same problem. I’m so sad it didn’t work for me.
