As someone who likes to try out new products, the only item that has stayed consistent in my skincare routine is this sunscreen. I have tried many others before, but nothing compares to the quality of EltaMD. It goes on smoothly, stays on all day, and it pairs well with make up (although I use it as a skin tint alone). I have very acne prone skin, and this product has not broken me out. I have been using it for at least 3-4 years, and I will continue to do so without a doubt.
I love my sunscreen! Since i began suffering from perioral dermatitis, i switched over to the oil-free formula from Elta MD & never looked back. Its lightweight, pleasant on the skin, tinted ( i don't use any makeup, just sunscreen) and doesn't cause any irritations. I've since recommended it to my friends who also have sensitive skin. 10/10 no comments.
I have been using this product for about 4 years now and continue to use it everyday. It looks very natural and no one would know I am wearing a sunscreen. I apply it every day before I leave my home. I have never liked sunscreens for various reasons, but this one is different or I would not be using it all day, every day. It has no offensive odor, goes on easily and doesn’t make me look ghostly. I just wish I had known about it sooner.
This is not clear as in I tinted but I am fairly light skinned and the tint color works great for me. I spent last weekend at the beach, sun and in wind with no impact whatsoever. Love it!
I've been using this product for years. It's truly a tinted SPF; so light coverage, but it evens skin tone and adds a nice, subtle glow! Great with pimple days too.
Since I started using the Elta SPF46 tinted sunscreen I don't use makeup any more. This is the only sunscreen that doesn't flare up my roseaca. I also use the untinted for our daily walks.
I bought this sunscreen hoping it will help with my acne all while protecting my skin and giving me a small amount of coverage. It has done just that. I love it, feels good on my skin, does NOT leave a white cast, and it does help with the redness from my acne. I will say that the reason I don't give it a 5/5 stars is because on certain areas of my face after I've put it on it does peel a tiny bit, but it's very easy to just brush off, no big deal at all. I also love the color of the sunscreen, it blends into my skin seamlessly. I am a bit tan for reference.
4 stars because I have been loyal to Elta MD sunscreen for over 15 years. I would give 5 stars if Colgate, the new owner, hadn’t messed with the ingredients that make the product pill no matter how long one waits for serums to dry first. Never had that problem prior.
I wanted to love this just a little more. The clear version is MY FAVORITE. I figured I'd try this on the days I wanted more coverage for blemishes and skin imperfections. I cannot tell the days I have this on versus the clear. The coverage is a little lacking. All that to say, it goes on smoothly, provides decent SPF coverage, and is not greasy or oily.
Good sunscreen, applies smoothly, feels very comfortable. Non greasy and does not break out my very acne prone skin. 4/5 stars only because for a tinted sunscreen there is almost no tint and I was expected a light tint at least. I’m fairly pale and this literally looks like I haven’t applied anything to my face. With there was slightly move coverage. Does have a nice natural glow, however.
