Emerge Detangling Shampoo Curls It's Knot Happening 16 oz

I found Emerge about 2 years ago and my super dry , curly hair LOVES Emerge! Wish I knew what happened to the company. It's so hard to find!

This works I'm down to 2 curly brands just because I think I need to rotate every so often. This is my favorite and now it's the one I'm always keeping. I will not switch this one out. My hair is healthy You know that because I finally got growth.

I used to purchase DevaCurl and wasn't as satisfied with my hair until I used THIS shampoo & conditioner. It is a miracle how bouncy, untangled and light my hair feels. I would recommend anyone that has struggled to keep their curls healthy to purchase this item because it's worth feeling and appearing beautiful!

GREAT PRODUCT FOR PEOPLE WITH CURLY HAIR

I used this entire line on both myself and my husband. He has short 3A textured medium porosity hair while I have shoulder length 4c high porosity hair. This shampoo cleansed our hair has a light floral scent and our hair didn't feel stripped after ward. Definitely a plus. You also don't need to use much.

Not for me. The shampoo wasn't thick; more like the consistency of milk. It lathered ok, but it didn't detangle as advertised. Wouldn't purchase again.

I really wanted to love this. I really, really did. I've been using Living Proof shampoo for a while now and have been in love with it from first use. However it's rather pricey so I began looking for cheaper alternatives. That's where I found Emerge. I was very excited to try the shampoo along with the conditioner. It's significantly cheaper. It's free of silicone, parabens, and sulfates (just like Living Proof), which is huge for me and any other curly girls out there. Well, as it turns out, you get what you pay for. I had been frizz free for years and now I look like a witch. A frizzy, unkempt witch. It has stripped my hair. It dried it out to the point where the curls aren't even curls anymore. Because there's so much going on. My hair has never been worse. I gave it time. I gave it a whole month. I am absolutely devastated. It smells nice, I'll give it that. And it lathers up nicely. But that's all it has going for it.

The shampoo doesn't have as bad a scent as the conditioner and styling cream that I received in this Voxbox. It's ok. It didn't take a lot to lather and it lathers pretty well, but I still wasn't blown away. Even though it's sulfate free, it felt like it stripped my hair a little bit. Extra curly/coily hair like mine cannot afford to sacrifice any oil. It wasn't as bad as the other products, but I still wouldn't purchase it. Unilever, please stop trying to hone in on the natural hair community and if you do, at least try and come correct.
