This is the second camera light bulb that we purchased and I expected to have to go through a lot to set up but I was wrong. Not only was it easy to set up but it found my internet connection quickly and prompted me through each step. Picture and audio are good. i recommend
This was the best buy. 10/10 The picture quality is so great and the set up was so easy. I will be buying more
very easy to set up , and the price is fantastic and best of all no monthly contract. the security features alerts us when there is someone near our home the video footage is clear I put my Energizer security camera near our door
A quick placement into a light bulb receptacle and it's up and ready to go within 15 minutes or less. The only draw back I found was in its base shape. The shape of the bottom of the ‘bulb' shape is slightly bulky and will block using this in any receptacle that has even a slightly raised edge
This works amazing. The only downside is you can't have a porch light. I had to upgrade to the model that does.
Installation was frustrating. I was ready to throw it out, but after deleting and redownloading the app 3 times it finally recognized the device. Picture quality is excellent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently installed our new Energizer Smart Outdoor Security Camera and I have to say, if you're looking for a semi basic security camera that isn't too pricy, I would suggest purchasing this one. To preface, I have used other security cameras in the past and currently use a home system with a different brand for years now, so Id like to think I'm fairly knowledgeable. Like I said in the beginning, for the price it is worth it but if you're looking for something more high tech I wouldn't recommend this Energizer bulb. I will say, the instructions were very clear and easy to understand in order for everything to be working correctly, however, the motion detection will set just about anything off as opposed to my more expensive home system that you can select what you want to notify you and vice versa. The picture quality is nice and clear but sometimes it will disconnect from the WiFi with my router only being less than 10 feet away. Lastly, I was able to use the Pan Tilt feature but if I were walking outside infront of it, it wouldn't track my movements. I'm not too sure if it was a system thing or it just doesn't work as well as it should. Again, if you're looking for a cheaper route I would recommend this while you save up for something better.
Easy to install and set up , would buy again .
I could not get this to find my wifi 2.4 which is what I had. Tried originally outside then in house next to router and still could not find. Thought being Energizer, would be a good quality item but had to return.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate the opportunity to try this product for free from influenster. Installation was not bad. I did have a small issue with it connecting but it finally did. The video quality is seemingly decent. The app took me a few minutes to figure out but wasn't the worst. You can turn on motion detection but it will drive you insane with notifications. It seems like it would hold well in different weather conditions. I am on the search for cameras but reasons this will not work for me include: 1. I'd rather have an actually light bulb as it gets pretty dark in my area. (This does have a light you can on within the app but wasn't bright enough for me) 2. My light fixture is loose fitting and the camera pulls it down (it's old) + when the wind blows strong, it will move and send unnecessary motion detection notifications. DISCLAIMER: I did not use an SD card. As far as the app and recordings: it will record a short clip when motion is detected and you can watch that but you can not go back and watch full recording without SD card even with cloud storage purchase. (You get a 30 day free trial) I feel like it does miss recordings which could be crucial if it was a situation that really need to be caught on video. Did not detect and record when mail lady dropped off mail. I've been outside and went back on app to view but did not see recordings of me. It does have a lot of great features and may work well for some but I will need to look for alternative options. As pictured, it will sometimes fully gray out which I'm not sure why. The other pics that show black blocks is what I added to protect my neighbors privacy. You can move direction of the camera from within the app but it does tend to lag a bit. Not totally the worst but not for me.
