Wireless seemed to work fine, but after turning printer off and then later back on, no wireless. I'm just using the printer with printer cable right now. Sometimes we just don't have unlimited hours for troubleshooting. I preferred my Artisan 725, too many steps clicking “OK” with new printer. I do like the size and weight of the XP-6100.
I searched for this product in many places and found it on the Walmart website for the price much cheaper than the other ones. I needed this item asap and got it overnight. Who could ask for anything more!!
This printer seems to work great ... I've only had it a couple of weeks and a review should be based on the printer's longevity instead of a first impression. Other Epson printers I've had have been very good in the long run. The only issue I've really had in the past is the wireless function failing.
I bought this a little while ago and was really happy with this printer. We bought it to replace our older Epson Workforce printer and am glad I took a chance on this one. There were some other reviews that weren't so good but I have found it to be a really good printer so far. It was easy to set it up and worked right away with my computer. Thank you Epson for putting it on sale. It is a really nice smaller size too. Thanks.
The old Brother had to go. I decided on the XP-6100 in part because it could print to cd/dvd, front paper feed, great reviews, and completely enclosed top for ease of dusting. The only relatively minor CON is the paper receiving tray has to be fully extended or the unit won't print. I guess I can't have everything. I found that a lot changed and improved in multifunction inkjet units. There are alot more figurative bells and whistles on this unit compared to my last one, but I look forward to learning about them. Simpler and more difficult to setup (long story) but once I got it working the XP-6100 is great.
I've had this printer for few years and have never been happy with it. It requires manually pulling out the output tray and the panel rather than having them triggered automatically. However the biggest problem is the photo paper tray. For some reason it seems to be motorized and the motor insists on ejecting it after each print job. You need to push it back in after every photo. Now it refuses to print to media in the photo paper tray - it simply ejects it every time then complains about it. I need to change the media in the lower tray to print a photo. I've tried to print borderless on letter-size paper but it won't. It always leaves a border. This is the only Epson printer that has ever disappointed me. Print quality is good as it print speed. The media handling is the only real problem.
Printer arrived missing the BK ink cartridge. It took 4 emails and 2 phone calls of over 1/2 hour each for epson to finally send me the missing ink. I had to say and resend useless information multiple times. Epson customer service is horrendous. Frustrating would be an understatement.
This has been the worst printer I have ever owned. It doesn't print it supposed to and now I've had it for two days and it won't even come on or stay on. I can get it to come on but don't stay on so it's going back.
Within a month of having this, I had constant issues with it not printing. Now, after 3 1/2 months and numerous ink cartridge changes, it tells me the print head is bad. The part costs more than the printer
I have spent hours on the phone with Epson and we never got this printer to work
