I like that this chair is adjustable in height and that the back can go on either side, depending on which way you want the chair to face. It is sturdy, so I feel secure. what I dont like is, no place to tuck the shower curtsin so water will not get around it onto the floor.
My occupational therapist helped assemble the shower bench. She commented that it’s wobbly and cheap, and asked if I bought it on sale. (No, it was nearly $100.) A piece arrived bent, so the back rail couldn’t be assembled, either. I’m not sure about the return policy t I’m going to try to return it. Too expensive to just throw away.
Unable to assemble because the back didn't fit into the slots. Evidently the welds went through the tubes where the back needed to fit into making the diameter too small for the post. Also, one of the snaps that hold the chairback in place fell out along with whatever spring assembly it needed so the back would have fallen straight out again if it had fit properly to begin with. Basically the back is completely unusable.
Item is stable and easy enough to put together. For the cost it is poor quality - will be good only for temporary use. Most importantly the reverse image of the product is shown - purchased it thinking the seat and handle would be in the tub but it was assembled so the seat and handle were outside the tub. This became an issue and we were unable to use and item is ineligible for return. Out nearly $100.
Item came with box tore open and product damage. Walmart would not honor a return on defective and unsafe equipment. This was delivered from the store to a housebound patient by Walmart and unfortunately Walmart is placing the liability on the customer not the store whom should have not had this visibility defective item on their shelf.
We were required to have this for my father to be released from the hospital after open heart surgery. We never opened it, it is still sealed by the manufacturer because my father could not use this style bench in his bathroom. Yet I cannot return the item. Terrible policy. It’s a factory sealed package.
legs do not go short enough to be level inside the tub and the bathroom floor. And Walmart 's stupid return policies won't let us return it. complete waste of money.
Product has if dissatisfied with product but when trying to take back an unopened box you are unable to return or get a refund as stated. Even if you call there 800 number. Totally misleading unless you read their fine print that this is non-returnable item! So frustrating! I believe you should have up to 48 hours to return an unopened box.
We received this piece of crap -- attempted to assemble- there was a weld inside one of the pipes that prevented it being put together. Walmart REFUSED to exchange it for a replacement because it is Non-refundable---we understand the non-refundable part since it is a bath chair BUT...it is defective...and they are unwilling to stand behind their product - we went through 3 sets of supervisors with NO resolution ....DO NOT BUY this piece of CRAP
Pegs are missing from the bench to attach the leg parts to. I have purchased 2. 1 from 2 separate stores and both where identical. Don't recommend waisting time or money.
