Equate Extra Comfort Dental Floss, Mint, 43.7 yds, 2 Count

This dental floss used to be thinner, coated more and in fact more comfortable on my teeth. It is now a thin ribbon that is not coated and is not like it used to be. If I would have known the design was changed, I may have looked for another brand. The dental floss is not what I was expecting, from when I purchased it before, so I was disappointed.

It appears this product has been replaced with a lesser quality item. The floss I have always purchased, and had assumed that I was this time, was made of string material and the new product is made of some type of nylon. It almost resembles fishing line. I'm hoping this product that I received will be discontinued and the old style floss will be brought back.

As many have mentioned, this product has changed. It is much worse now. From what I understand, it's due to the potential for forever chemicalsl (PFA's) in the tape style floss we all loved. So this change doesn't appear to be about saving money or anything. It's about possible health concerns.

Just like other users said. They changed the material and it does not glide at all and you're struggling to get in thru your teeth. As a floss fanatic, Oral-B glide use to be great then they changed it to crappy plastic material. The great-value comfort glide was a great alternative and slid beautifully until I received my latest order and they made it the same material as Oral-B. C'mon... give the consumers a decent product and not this garbage. I never leave reviews but really felt the need to chime in. TERRIBLE!

Walmart is cutting costs as loyal customer expense. I've been purchasing “extra comfort dental floss” for years - it is the string threaded kind that don't hurt your gums, fits into tight space and actually leaves your teeth feeling good. However they have now changed it to “extra comfort MINT floss” which is that cheap oral-b plastic tape floss that snaps into your teeth, cause pain and in general is terrible quality. Another once quality product bites the dust while the consumer not only gets tricked into thinking it's the same product, but is actually worse and it costs the same (likely to cost more in the next few months, give it time). Should be illegal to keep the same packaging but change ONE word (my receipt still shows “dental” not this “mint” crap). You should reimburse all customers for misleading.

Not the same as it was. I will never buy this again. They have changed it. It's truly terrible. Stiff springy plastic tape that won't go where you want it to. It's much wider too and not in a good way. Really disappointed in these changes. Please go back to the old version.

This floss is terrible for my teeth and gums. I felt pain using it as if it was giving me a paper cut. My gums were bleeding %26 I was traumatized because I couldn't get it out without bleeding with my back teeth %26 got stuck between a crown. I can't use this again. If your teeth are extremely tight %26 close together it might be painful to use this floss. It's definitely not soft.

They have changed this product to some awful plastic tape. It is a horrible product and I do NOT recommend to anyone. This was always my go to floss but will have to find another brand. Will never purchase this product again! If I could , I would give ZERO STARS!

Now they switched floss to the same thick plastic garbage as Oral B. It's horrible and I'll be switching to a different floss company without this thick plastic garbage that doesn't work and cuts your gums. They pulled the old bait and switch. Same exact packaging with a completely different product inside. That's illegal.

This is false advertisement!!! They changed the floss but didn't change the packaging or say anything about the change. Bought this product several times and was the best. Now it is the absolute WORST I ever used. It's too thick and rubbery. Hard to get in between teeth and cuts gums and gets stuck. This should be illegal. Complete rip off. These companies are getting worse and worse. They do what they want and have no oversight. Avoid
