This is a nice thermometer. I love that you can use disposable probe covers for the probe. The covers are super simple to put on, and they come off with the simple press of a button (silver button). You place the thermometer in the ear, press and hold the button with the thermometer image on it, and listen for a beep (2 seconds). The temperature will be shown and it stores the last ten temperatures taken in the memory. Just press the Mem button and cycle through the history. The thermometer also comes with a storage case which is awesome. The color indicators are great as well as the battery power indicator, temp scale (F or C) indicator, and the indicator showing if the probe cover is on all work well. Batteries included...that's a plus. Quick, easy, and efficient. I'd recommend.
I really like this little gadget. It beats sticking an outdated thermometer in my children's mouths and getting inaccurate readings. One of the best things is that it can be used by adults too. It has a light up screen that displays battery level and the temperature level. I also like that it comes with a carrying case and disposable plastic ear caps. It's easy to use. I simply stick it in my child's ear, press the button, and after about 2 seconds I get a reading. If I forget the temperature or want to keep track, the thermometer memorizes the previous ten readings. That's very helpful. Overall, I really like it and hope to have it for years.
This is a great tool to have waiting in the medicine cabinet especially if you have kids. The instruction book is simple and to the point. Easy to use if you've never used one before. It gives instruction on how to get a clear reading so you avoid an inaccurate measurement. I only had myself to test this device on, so this may be different if you are using the device on someone else. In my experience testing it in my ear, the first reading I got was always high. The next two readings are closer to what they should be- 98.6. So I always did three readings to get the most accurate measurement. The light is super useful and the case is good to keep the tip clean.
This thermometer works great for my child and myself. It's quick and easy to use in situations when the little ones are not feeling well and are not wanting to be bothered. Fast and reliable is always a great choice especially for my kiddos. Very pleased with this one.
Okay so this thermometer works really well. Very accurate. Great little storage case. They have little plastic covers that you can use and toss so you dont have to keep cleaning it. They go on easy and come off easy. Had the same temp reading with the cover on and also off.
The digital thermometer works great! It's fast and easy to understand. I like how it came with a kid for the tip of the thermometer and extra covers for the probe. The downfall of this product was the button to push off the tip covers doesn't push it off at all. It kept getting stuck and I have to pull it off with my hand. Other than that it's great and maybe it was a defect Of the one I got but it's still great and you should try it.
Really good. Accurate, dependable, easy to use, competitively priced. Came back and bought a second one a year later. Now we each have our own.
With fever thermometers hard to get during a pandemic, I was excited to be offered this digital thermometer to review, as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I could hardly believe that other reviewers hadn't already claimed all the available samples. Now, I think I know why. At first glance, this is a lightweight ear thermometer, just like one in the doctor's office. It comes with batteries, a hard plastic cover for the probe, and five disposable probe covers (very flimsy). I read the instruction booklet carefully, more than once. I have a feeling it started out in Chinese and was run through Google Translate (i.e., not reviewed by an English speaker). My favorite instruction is ""Always measure ear temperature while awake for maximum accuracy." I made sure I was awake the whole time. So, here is what the instruction booklet says about using the thermometer: "Press the start button to enter the measurement. At this time, the screen displays three bars. You can put the ear thermometer into the ear canal (as deep as possible). After the temperature sensor is aligned with the eardrum, press the start button. When the measurement result is displayed, the measurement ends." First of all, how can you know if the temperature sensor is "aligned with the eardrum"? You can't *see* the eardrum. Oh, well, I'll just *assume* that if the probe is in the ear canal, it's facing the eardrum. Secondly - This instruction literally says to press the start button *twice* - once to turn on the device, and again to measure temperature. The first time I pressed the start button, the 3 bars appeared. I inserted the device into husband's ear canal, waited a couple seconds, then pressed the start button again. The problem is, pressing the start button a second time actually *turns off* the device. So then, I experimented. I tried inserting the device into the ear, then pressing the power button. It said my husband's temperature was 90.2. Next I tried pressing the power button, then inserting the device. 95.0. Finally I removed the hard plastic cover (which had been tightly snapped onto the probe), inserted the probe into the ear, pressed the power button, and....got 3 bars, but no temperature reading. Naturally, when we buy something, we expect a small learning curve, but this is ridiculous. The device is going in the trash.
Dangerously inaccurate. My child has a 101 fever but this thermometer shows 98.2. Children are going to be badly injured because of this thermometer. It needs to be taken off the market.
When we got this thermometer, we took it out if the box, I read the manual, put in the batteries, put on the cover, and tried to use it. It said "err" which the manual told us was related to the ambient temperature. We let it sit for the recommended amount of time, then we tried again. We got the same message. We tried a variety of troubleshooting methods, all with the same result. It never gave us a reading at all. For as much as this thermometer was recommended on other sites, it definitely did not live up to the hype.
