This thermometer has been very accurate at reading temperatures and is easy to use. All you have to do point at the forehead and squeeze the trigger on the handle. And the temperature displays on the LCD screen. It will display it in green, yellow or red. And if it's green that's normal, yellow is a slight fever and red means you have a high fever. There is also a surface mode feature that allows you to check the temperature of foods and liquids. As well as ambient room temperature as well. So, it measures temperature three different ways. I really love that it's a non-contact infrared thermometer because, it's much more sanitary and safer than the typical oral temperatures. Or even the ear thermometer ones too. I have been using this daily and have been impressed with the accuracy of it. I would highly recommend it!

This thermometer is super easy to use. Just pull trigger once and bam. No need to hold it down. It came with 1 battery backwards, but since several people have mentioned the same thing I would guess it's on purpose so batteries don't get wasted. So just pop it open and flip the one that's backwards. It really is as simple as point and fire, just keep it within 2 inches of target. Anytime you use it, the screen will show the temp of your target. If needing quick shots, like using it on several people lined up (classroom?), the screen itself will change colors. If green the temp is normal, yellow there is a slight fever, and red for high fever. So with just a glance as you shoot people with it, you can quickly see if someone has a fever. For us at home it's just the two of us, so we won't really use that feature. Actually, the one instance I might is if I use it and didn't have my glasses. If I see green blur then it's ok and no need to go looking for my glasses haha. In the process of testing it out I also found that it has an audio notifyer as well. One beep for green screen. Multiple beeps for yellow or red. Anyways, this is much better than the stick and hold under your tongue for X amount of time type of thermometers....just aim, fire, done.

This thermometer is the nicest I've ever owned. I tried using it on myself over and over and it was the same exact temperature every time. I had the same result with using it on my children and random household items. I love that it isn't just for body temperature. I can check the temperature of basically anything. The device is the perfect weight and fits very comfortably in my hand. Very happy with this.

Infrared digital thermometer by Equate checks a fever in one second only without touching a skin. It should be placed from half inch up to 2 inches from person according to manufacture in order to get clear reading. LCD display is designed with three different colors in for easy understating what is normal fever and what is higher and that you should seek help from professionals. Another great feature built in is that has different mode testing of temperature in food, liquid or even room air. It can store up to 50 last readings and it is rated to be used from infants to adults and anybody between. I been using Braun for last three or so years so I can only compared to that model. Equate design is physical bigger than Braun so it take more space for storage or travel. I am not sure which one is more calibrated correctly for temperature but when it read difference between Braun and Equate was only of 0.01 degree. Equate have slightly larger screen so it is easier to read for people who have problem with vision. Also Equate has extra reading modes for food, liquid or room temperature where Braun does not, and it is more economical.

The Equate Non contact Thermometer is fantastic, I love the fact that you check your temperature anytime anywhere without having to put it in your mouth and then have to disinfect it before anyone uses it again. I really like using it prior to drs appointments so that I’m not surprised if it is high there.

There are some dysfuntional no contact thermometers out there. But this one works great plus its easy to use. We checked its accuracy by taking temperatures of everyone in the house then comparing it to a digital mouth thermometer. The results were within 3 tenths of a degree each time, so its pretty accurate. It will register varied temperatures from different parts of the body but of course the forehead is recommended. I received it with the batteries switched around (maybe on purpose) so check your batteries if its not working.

We have several thermometers with 2 kids so we have them in different places in the house for easy grabbing. We needed a new one due to one being broken and tried this. It's very fast and seems accurate and is a bit more on target then our old ones. I love that you can turn the beep sound off so it doesn't wake your sick child when you check them if they are sleeping. It also has a memory that saves the last 50 temperatures which is handy for tracking. It has 3 light options, green, normal, orange low grade and red fever. Overall I really like it and it works well not having to touch the skin with the infrared.

This is great for kids who have sensory issues or different abilities etc. I used this for my kiddo this weekend when he had a fever and it made taking him temperature so much easier!! The best features are the touch free feature and volume on or off option. So I could even take temp while kiddo is sleeping. Thanks for this more affordable option.

These were almost impossible to find for a while at the onset of the pandemic. Very accurate and so easy to use. Point at the forehead amd squeeze the trigger. Very vibrant display that goes green if healthy or red if the temperature is high. Highly recommend to have one of these in the house.

This device is pretty inaccurate if you're not the exact distance away. It takes 3 AAA batteries which are included but they died after 2 uses. I'd prefer if it was rechargeable instead of battery powered. I tried using it several times with a different temp reading every time. It's a good concept but poor execution. I would not recommend this to family ot friends as a safe or accurate thermometer
