I really like these shakes. Notice they are no longer in the plastic bottles for this shipment. They are now in those cardboard boxes. Hope the taste is still the same and they didn't change that too. I think these have a better flavor than the other brands I have tried, and they also have a lower price.
I have been using this product for about a year now. I think it's definitely worth the money compared to name brands and really doesn't taste bad at all. My purpose in writing today (5/15/2026) is to say that I really appreciate the new container packaging. MUCH easier to open, and completely recyclable without having to remove the plastic wrapper, which required using a paring knife to do. The French vanilla flavor also uses the new packaging. Great improvement!
First I Do Not Understand Why I Cannot Get what I have been getting for many many years Which is 12 BOTTLES I do NOT like those carton containers they come in now It's has a different taste and Everything But if I could get these every week I would be Happy
Hard to find these in strawberry but the vanilla and chocolate taste good. Quick and satisfying " meal" for morning or evening, when you need something but don't feel like making something or you need to restrict calories, cholesterol, or sodium. There is an "original" version that has more calories. I get this 180 version.
My only dislike is the difficulty in obtaining this product. It is no longer available through online ordering and ALL stores typically carry 0-3 (usually just 1 or 2) cartons on shelves, which necessitates expending the time, effort and GAS MONEY to drive to various different stores very frequently.
Love these shakes, but Walmart's switch from recyclable plastic bottles to non-recyclable aseptic cartons means they go straight to the landfill. Stop greenwashing your packaging weight numbers at the expense of our local municipal disposal facilities, Walmart!
I've bought Equate Meal Rplcmt Shakes for many years. It's been a good tasting product, and for the most part, much more affordable than it's competitors. However, THIS purchase I was completely taken back by the drastic change in its smaller packaging, but then truly disappointed when I opened and pulled out a small, waxy carton instead of the original bottle it use to be sold in. What's next--a twist on or a version of a child's juice box, complete with a sharp straw? Hating it!
These "cardboard" are horrible. Walmart says they are putting the same amount in these, but I measured. It's LESS than the plastic bottles. Shrink-flation!
After over a decade of buying this product, these were the last boxes I bought. They changed everything. 1. I have to open the new box with a pair pliers and it's still hard on my arthritic hands. 2. The new bottles say 11 ounces, but they're really only 10. 3. The taste is completely different. it tastes like vanilla extract and it's disgusting. I've switched to a different brand of protein drinks. Walmart... we're not stupid. We can tell the difference.
Item would be great if my local stores carried it regularly and delivered it or prepared it for pick-up when ordered. It's very much like Wal-Mart wants to pretend to have item while not actually having it. Currently in a loop where I've purchased it and can't return it or refund it, but I never got it... the app wants to ship it, but denies my confirmation to ship it. So I bought it and don't have it and can't get my money back or get them to deliver it. So... great.
