This tastes great as a smoothie. One serving - which is two scoops - gives 22 g of protein. I blend it with milk and some berries or frozen banana and it makes a delicious and satisfying breakfast. I also tried the vanilla powder which is OK but the chocolate is definitely a better taste in my opinion.
my son uses this plant based to make his shakes in the morning. we made the switch when the store was out of said name brand. we were all pleastantly surprised thay it mimics the big store brands. we have stayed with this equate version and havent went back to the bigname store one. thank you walmart. will you make a chocolate and peanut butter flavor please 🙏 😋
Blends well in both of my shakers. Great chocolate flavor as it doesn't taste like chocolate adjacent (fake) like many other healthy options. Have purchased quite a few times and will continue
VERY filling and tastes good... I do think they could fill the container a bit more. When I opened it , was half full, I can only assume the sell buy weight. ... still =(. Product even blended well is a bit grainy but still good .
I tried this Equate brand of dry protein powder because it does not require refrigeration. I chose the chocolate version (the only other is vanilla) to mix with nonfat milk; water is also suggested. It is okay but not quite as tasty as Equate already-mixed protein shakes; it might be a bit thinner. However, I stir it in, so suggest shaking it if you can do so w/o making a mess. A serving provides 21-gm of protein and 4-mg iron, which is great! However, when I purchased it, I did not realize that the large, 14 oz. plastic tub is NOT recyclable (It's crossed out on the "chasing arrows" recycling symbol). Uh-oh!
This plant based protein was under 20.00 for 2 pounds, 32 ounces for years. From 15.00-20.00. They stopped selling it temporarily and then came back out with this same product, but for 2.5 times the price. It was 15.00 for years. Then went to 16, then 18.00 for 32 ounces. Now the size is less than half of what it was. We're actively looking for an alternative.
I don't love this I don't like the gritty texture I don't like the flavor whatsoever but what I do like is that it's derived from places that I want my protein to come from. I don't think I would buy it again I think I would just get vanilla and use fruit to hide the flavor and texture. But if you want protein from the sources and you don't care about taste or texture then it's fine.
So at first I thought this was a good deal. Taste wise it's ok, pretty much like all protein powder but mixed with fruit etc, in a smoothie, it's pretty good and worked for what I need. But price is where it fails. The brand I was buying previously, which is all organic, gluten free, etc, looks way more expensive but when broken down per serving it's only $1.05 per serving vs $1.29/serv for the equate. Also, equate has erythritol, which can be irritating to a sensitive stomach. So do your due diligence if you care about getting the best deal price wise!
The worst protein ever. I donate plasma and my protein level had to be over 6. I took 100g of this powder 4-5 hours before donation and when I got there it was still low and couldn't donate. These protein powders are a scam.
Had a very grainy texture even after vigorously mixing or stirring. Tried it in cold water, cold milk, warm milk %26 even hot coffee. The texture felt as if someone crushed a crispy leaf into whatever beverage I mixed it with
