Equate Sugar-Free Daily Fiber Powder, Orange Smooth, 23.3 oz

I'm pescetarian and keto diet, plus a couple of Rx that are known to cause "issues". This is the cheapest and most effective way to solve "issues" plus have benefits of lowering cholesterol, blood sugar, and whatever else the package says. This is way cheaper than the capsules, and way more effective. This gels quickly in water, so mix and drink at once. I use a glass and a whisk (recommend not metal, it eats 'em over time), I rinse the glass in hot water after, or I'll soak it with the whisk in a container that covers the glass, as the lip of the glass gets sticky. I learned that some vitamins, medications, supplements and all food should be taken before or after, depending on your goals for the product. The gel will carry away your meds, etc and not metabolize as intended. I wish that info was on the container. The brand name doesn't put it on theirs either. Just an FYI. It's worth searching.

The sugar-free version of equate daily fiber taste the same as the regular kind. And does the same job. I have to take it daily and prefer it to taking a medication prescribed by the doctor. The cost per teaspoon or two is less expensive than the cost per pill. I highly recommend this sugar-free version.

I have used this Item for years, never had a problem until recently! Something has changed, Recently about half of the containers will not mix well. For example container, Lot %23 18567, which I finished last week would not mix well, dry clumps remain no matter how you stir. The new container, Lot %23 21129 mixes great. You can tell a difference when pour the powder into another container. (I put the power into a smaller, easier to handle container for my daily usage).

Be sure to use a lidded container as your drinking vessel, and shake hard. In comparison to Metamucil, this psyllium product rapidly clots when added to liquid. In another comparison, the orange flavor is weak, making it harder to get down than orange-flavored Metamucil. This is a "you get what you pay for" situation.

I have been using this product for close to a decade now. Until recently, I have preferred this product over brand name and competitor options. However, my most recent purchase was unsatisfactory, as the product has a very strong, off putting chemical odor.

This product seems different from what I have usually received. It is more of a powder that doesn't dissolve very well and leaves lots of little clumps, not a smooth consistency. Disappointed. Perhaps it is from a different supplier than I received before.

They changed the formula! We used to love it. You would mix a tablespoon with 6 oz of water and drink it fast because if you waited too long it would turn into goo, but that was ok because there was enough time. Now there is not enough time, it turns to goo almost immediately and you almost need a spoon to eat it. Yuck.

The Equate brand equivalent of Metamucil daily fiber (sugar free) did not work as well as another pharmacy's brand of the same product in two ways. First, the Equate brand was so refined, it was almost like powder. It did not mix well at all in water no matter how long or hard I stirred the mixture. There was always little undissolved balls of powder leftover floating in my cup. This does happen with the other pharmacy's brand. Second, of what I did use over several days, the Equate brand just did not work as well as another pharmacy's brand. You know what most people take this product for – to stay regular, and it just didn't do that for me. I returned my Equate product for a refund and will not purchase this brand again.

Equate Daily Fiber… I have been using this product for a number of years. It has work well until this last jar of it. The product doesn't not dissolve properly in water. I've tried several times and it forms balls that do not dissolve. The consistency is different than it has ever been. Since I take it daily, as recommended by my doctor, yesterday I ordered a jar of the Meta Muscil brand. It work perfectly. After all these years using the Equate Fiber , I am very disappointed. I had bought the large size, and it was expensive.

The Metamucil we usually buy was a bit expensive, so we decided to try this. This product was not even close to what I expected, the taste is off as is the texture. It clumps and unless its put into a shaker it stays really lumpy. It doesn't dissolve, there's no smoothness to it, but we'll have to use it because we spent the money on it. If you're expecting Metamucil, you'll be very disappointed.
