Over 10 years ago, my Eye Doctor said at the onset of macular degeneration, I shoud begin taking an eye vitamin immediate and every day! I started with Ocuvite 50 and took them for the first couple of years. One day while shopping for them in Walmart, I discovered the Equate Brand 50 (300 count) for 1/3 of the price I was paying!!

A few years ago, I looked at the ingredients in this vitamin and compared it with Prevagin. Both included the same vitamins except the one for eyes also has the lutein. I have had an eye examination which showed that my sight hasn't changed. I suggest you look at the ingredients and compare the prices. This eye vitamin at Walmart is the one you should buy.

I have been using this supplement for over a year….at first I questioned myself about trying this thinking???…could this really make a difference in my vision ( I only wear readers, but felt some eye strain at the end of the day)…after about 3 months…I noticed I was feeling a lot less eye strain at the end of the day and were using my readers less! I have the dry kind of macular degeneration. My ophthalmologist recommended that I take an eye vitamin. After comparing many eye vitamins on the market this one had a great price point and my Ophthalmologist said there was no problem with what I was using.

I have suffered from Dry Eye Syndrome since having cataract surgery. I have also experienced double vision on occasion. Equate Vision Formula 50 Soft Gels have really helped with these issues. I highly recommend them and hope others find these as helpful as I have.

The size and quantity of the pills are good, but the size of the container they arrived in is exceedingly large, such a waste of plastic. The pills could have easily been shipped/sold in a smaller container. Other than that, I don't have anything else to add.

Check with your eye doctor if AREDS are recommended. AREDS2 was impacting my budget when I discovered this. My eye doctor reviewed the ingredients on this last month and agreed it was ok for me. He also reminded me to keep on top of my macular health (signs of AMD and retina detachment). We are all different.

After trying this product , I have decided to go back to using capsules instead of soft gets . Takes too long to digest in my stomach , and with the capsule I can open it and dump the powder into my morning breakfast shake and get no bad taste or bloated feeling.

Eye vitamins have been shown to help reduce the risk of developing macular degeneration and other eye diseases. However, it will take time for you if you are starting to take them later in your life. If you can afford them, try giving them to your kids. See if their vision improves as they grow up. Wouldn't it be cool if your kids had 20/15 vision into their 60s?

In supplements I really prefer the name brand especially in this one because I'm losing vision in my eyes due to multiple sclerosis. However this is much less expensive and until we get out of this Republican inflation I will be scrutinizing every single purchase I make.
