Equate brands are as good as national brands.

Ginger September 19, 2020

This is just as effective as Emergen-C. My daughter takes one every day as a mulit vitamin. I generally take a tablet form, but if I feel a cold coming on, I take one packet of this Equate brand and REALLY it stops the cold. They are less than half the price of the national brand and they work exactly the same.

Taste better and not bitter than the name brand

Starlight October 26, 2020

Bought these to up my vitamin c intakes. Especially during this time of covid and flu. Also bought the emergency-c one as well to compare as to which one works better or taste better. In this case the equate one is so much better! It taste so much better than the emergency one. To my surprise very shocking! And it is not as bitter as the emergency one. The emergency one makes taking it a pain as it's so bitter compare to this one. I actually enjoy taking these than the emergency one. I recommend this one!! Also for the price it's $2 less than the other one and it's taste better! I haven't took it for long to compare the effects yet. But I'll save my other review for that later since I can't go back and update my review on here.

Health in a packet

Susie December 7, 2020

There are four of us in the household and every other night I take a liter of tonic water with quinine, pour some in the bottom of an 8-ounce glass, add a packet of the powder, slowly fill the glass up, pass it to my family, and we easily get our Vitamin C the easy way. It's not gritty or bad tasting and it's a healthy way to get our protection.

Effective but don't care for the taste.

Texanada October 20, 2020

Normally our family buys the name brand version of this but with the current pandemic it's been very hard to find around the house so I purchased a couple boxes of these for the family. You really can't beat the cost. While I feel like ingredients and benefit wise they do the job, I just really don't care for the taste. It's much more medicinal tasting and it doesn't fully dissolve. Would I buy it again? Yes. My daughter wishes that equate made a raspberry flavor.

Ok taste

Tanya October 13, 2020

I don't care for this flavor but I totally believe in this stuff. Definitely keeps me from getting sick or as sick as I would have been. My husband and kids take this as well. My son is 14 and has asthma and he gets really bad pneumonia. But since we have started this in the winter months we have stayed out of the hospital I feel like this helps build his immune system.

Only in a Pinch!

Sherlyn August 12, 2020

Taste is nothing like Emergan-C, does not mix well, granules are always left in the bottom of the glass. Adequate for getting the vitamins but only purchased because Emergan-C was out of stock.

Just ok

don November 17, 2020

Look carefully at the box. Doesn't say it has all the ingredients of Emergen C, just the same amount of Vit C. Flavor is ok. Several other products on the market that are just as good or better for the same price...or spend a couple dollars more and get the real Emergen C

Tastes good, but doesn't fully dissolve

JB November 27, 2019

As others have said, it tastes better than the name brand. However, I have a problem with mine not fully dissolving in the water and leaving a grit behind in the cup. I'm not sure if this is sugar (looks like sugar crystals at the bottom of a cereal bowl) or what, but I try to consume it since I don't know if its beneficial or just filler. The inconvenience vs the small price difference of the name brand means I won't purchase this kind again.

Doesn't dissolve well, doesn't taste good.

Marcia May 16, 2020

Normally most of times that Equate and Great Value (Walmart's own brands) have pretty good quality of products, but not for this one. Bought it in the midst of the pandemic while our usual product emergen C was out of stock everywhere. This generic version of the emergen C, first of all, the package is much harder to open; second, about 20~30% of the powders just won't dissolve; third, the taste is much worse than any emergen C flavor I've tried. Won't repurchase it again, do not recommend, needs serious improvements.
