Save Smooth E Base Coat!!!
This is a great product in that it is a strengthener for unique- no other product out there Essie! That has a semi matte finish- not matte ( too flat) not gloss( too much)- so used alone, your nails look naturally healthy.. if you then want to dress it up with polish, the texture grabs the polish and holds it better than any other base coat I have tried. Essie- please do not discontinue this product!

Really works!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essie smooth-e over exceeded my expectations! I'm one that will get my nails done quite a bit, but then take them off and met my real nails breathe. With that said, anyone that's had acrylics know that when they're removed it leaves your nail beds uneven, and no where close to smooth. Say goodbye to that!! Essie smooth-e will make you nails smooth, and fills in any imperfections. If you dont believe me, try for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

I'm amazed!!
My nails are in Bad shape. I have psoriasis and it has caused deep ridges, lines down the middle of my nails and more. I usually have to apply three coats of polish with a thick top coat over each coat of polish. I am shocked at how well this works!! Smooth-e base, one coat of polish and top coat (but I always do two) and they look great. The damage to my nails is always visible if look closely at them, but I never thought I would find a product that does exactly what it claims to. Smooth-e is a must have!

Best ever!
This is absolutely the best product I've ever found for my ridge filled nails, and it's discontinued!! I'm sooo disappointed. I use it as an everyday natural looking matte polish. It works so well, and looks great even without a color topcoat. Please bring it back!!

Has a nice smoothing effect on my more shallow rid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After polishing my nails with the Essie - smooth-e base coat polish, I would say it does has a nice smoothing effect on my more shallow ridges, but it still left slight visible ridges on my deeper ridged nails, like my thumb nails. I would still recommend to anyone, trying to get a smoother, more professional finish to their nails.
