I have used this soap for years washing delicates like bras and scarves. It's easy to use and smells great. You don't even have to rinse it but I usually give it a quick rinse. They have an unscented if you don't like smells, but I love the different scents.
Eucalan is one of the finest soaps especially for woolen or fine clothing. Use with ease-swish it around and let it sit for a short time and you're done. There's no rinsing, and your clothes will be clean and smell so nice. Your makeup brushes clean up so fast and well. It's great to bring on a trip too when you might do some handwashing. Cuts the time in half. Wonderful product. This is my second gallon and lavender smells so nice. Of course you can use it in your washer and on all kinds of clothing- gentle enough for baby clothes.
I have been using Eucalan for a long time, but never knew it came in a gallon jug that I could get at Walmart! Buying it in the gallon size was an enormous savings over buying 8 16-oz. bottles individually, and it shipped for free. Delivery was much faster than promised, and I was pleased that Walmart re-used a packing box cut down and taped to fit, as well as recycled plastic air bags inside. What I love about this product is that you do not have to rinse it out, and it has some lanolin in it to restore the wool to its softness. Makes washing wool socks and sweaters so easy! Smells great too.
Does an excellent job of cleaning and conditioning my hand knits and smells wonderful. Not having to rinse is a huge plus. Even the colors of my pieces seem more vibrant after washing with this, probably due to the conditioners. The jug should last practically forever too.
I have used Eucalan for centuries because it is the very best for wool and fine clothing. After I put so much work into my handknit or crochet items, it only makes sense to use a superior wool wash.
I cycle and the Merino wool jerseys need this. Wool is hair and is ruined by Tide and even Ivory has changed its formula. The lanolin in the soap keeps the wool in its natural state. Remember wool keeps you warm in winter, cool in summer and is antimicrobial so it can be worn 2-3 days before it needs a wash.
Having read reviews I purchased Eucalan for washing fine woolens. i have quite a few hand knit alpaca Aran sweaters and have been unhappy with products I have used previously drying the sweaters too much. I am very pleased with the Eucalan. Sweaters are clean and supple and maintain form. Easy to use and just a quick rinse rather than leaving soap residue
Eucalan is worth tracking down. You just soak your items, drain, and dry. It cleans any fine fabric (wool, anything!) and adds a touch of lanolin to soften. You don't even have to rinse it out. I buy the gallon size when I can find it because of the great value. Yay Walmart!
So good for washing woolens. I wear a lot of wool and this keeps all my woolens soft and spongy. Woolite is the worse for wool! This is so much better.
Need only a little so this will last a very long time. Keeps your fine knits in excellent condition. Smells great!
