This vacuum does a good job on any floor level with the turn of a dial. Over the years I have had all kinds and all price levels of vacuums. Now, I buy a less expensive and hope to get a good 2 years of service from it.

I had a Shark which kept getting clogged..this has a large dust receptacle and is powerful... I was amazed at how much it picked up even after using the Shark. Great for the money !

First, I received this in order to test it and write a review. Wow, I love it so much. I am 69, hard to walk and have been using a stick vac for about 5 years. I thought it would be the easiest for me to use, but frankly my rugs did not love it. When this opportunity came up, I really wanted to try it. The vacuum exceeded my expectations in every way. 1) Very easy to move around, practically moves itself. You can easily change the height for rugs and floor. Moves so smoothly, I can't believe how easy it is for me. 2) Very powerful, cleaned all my shag rugs like gangbusters! They look brand new! As far as reaching corners and under things, a piece of cake. All in all, I would say this is the best possible deal. Great price for a super duper vacuum! You will love it, I am sure! Oh, also, don't have to buy filters, only have to wash these once a month and there is a very large capacity before you---wait for it----press a little button an empty it out tout-suite! Other than someone vacuuming for you, what else can you ask for?

The Eureka POWERSPEED vacuum cleaner is lightweight. It has a comfortable handle making it easy to carry. It has 4 settings for carpet and the one setting for bare floors. It has great suction but is not hard to push and pull on carpet. I like the design of the brush attachment making it easy to vacuum baseboards and inside my windows. It also has a crevice tool and upholstery brush. These attachments are stored on board the vacuum. It has an extra-large capacity dust cup but they do recommend it be emptied with each use. Emptying the dust cup could not be easier. And the cup is big enough to insert my hand and wipe it out with a paper towel. The filter is washable making it even more efficient. It also has a long 25’ cord. The quick release wand was easy to release and hook up with attachments. The release and power buttons at the bottom of the vacuum are also easy to use. It is overall a good choice.

My last two upright vacuums have been Dysons, so I find myself comparing this Eureka to them. I have both hardwood and carpeted floors. The Eureka picked up quite a bit of dirt and was lightweight and easy to use. I especially like that the power switch is foot activated. I used the upholstery tool to vacuum my couch and it worked great, picking up all the cat hair. The onboard tools are super easy to hook up, which is also a plus. There are no bags needed and the canister is easy to empty.

The Eureka Power Speed Lightweight Upright Vacuum is exactly as described it is very light weight and is very powerful. Seems to pick up very well on carpet, rugs, and wood floors. I like the adjustable handle and the ease of cleaning above floors. It is handy for cleaning upholstery and curtains. It has an extra-long cord witch I really like because I can zoom on from room to room without unplugging and re-plugging it in so much. Not sure what all colors it comes in but I like the black and red that I received. This vacuum is easy to use and simple to operate it seems sturdy even with being light weight and it is easy to empty. Gets the job well done.

The eureka brand has been out for a long time and somehow a lot of people don’t know about eureka’s quality, performance, and price. The eureka Power Speed Lightweight Upright Vacuum NEU180 is a lightweight vacuum that packs a punch. The first time I used it, I was impressed on how much power it generates and it picks up the smallest of things. For me, I believe this vacuum is quieter than my other vacuum and it does not overheat with continuous use. Compared to other lightweight vacuums, the eureka Power Speed Lightweight Upright Vacuum NEU180 is more versatile and holds more with its extra-large dust clip. One thing I really like about this vacuum is that I can use this on all floors – carpet, tile floors, hardwood floors, and concrete in the garage. I do not have to switch to a different vacuum. For all kinds of cleaning, there is always a handy attachment that I can use to clean cobwebs, ceiling fan dust, and hard to reach places. What is really nice about the eureka Power Speed Lightweight Upright Vacuum NEU180 is the price. I could probably spend more on a popular brand vacuum but the eureka Power Speed Lightweight Upright Vacuum NEU180 will do the exact same thing. Why spend more? I highly recommend this vacuum because it does the same thing what other fancy, expensive, high-end vacuum do. This is a best-kept secret.

This Eureka is a very functional upright vacuum for hard floors or carpet. All of the control points are red for easy location when changing brush height or releasing the handle for attachment use. There's also a red button to quickly disconnect the canister from the machine for dumping. There's only one dust filter in the top of the canister that requires periodic cleaning, none of the loose dirt makes it that far up. When changing from floor use to one of the three furniture and crevice tools, the user must disconnect the hose at the bottom of the machine and connect it into the receptacle at the top of the removable handle. It takes longer to describe this motion than actually doing it. We found the suction level to be powerful enough for anything we needed to clean. The cord is about 24' long and has hooks on the back of the machine for manual winding. The only feature that's missing from this vacuum that I missed are L.E.D. lights that shine across hard floors to readily show us where the dirt is. More features equal more cost though and lights are useless on carpet. You decide if that's something you need. We also own a Eureka Mity-Mite that's been a big help for vacuuming out vehicles and garage corners. It's stowed in the garage

The Eureka Power Speed Light Weight Vaccum NEU180 is a pretty good (not great) vacuum, it is very lightweight and has a 25ftcord and a washable filter (no bags) it has 5 height settings and an extended stretch hose and quick release wand and extra attachments to get into small crevices and has a xl easy empty dust cup, now there is its features but how does it work? It works pretty good it's a little loud but has good suction the wand detached easily and can get into the tightest areas. It is kind of small so it doesn't take up much room when stored not sure of how long it will last because it feels a little flimsy but the cost is under $50.00 so if it lasted only 1 year you would get your money's worth, so if you don't have much money and need a vaccum maybe you should give this one a try , it's pretty good for the price.

I ordered & tested this vacuum from the Spark Reviewer Program and it actually does everything it claims ! I received the Eureka NEU180 in good condition. It was securely packed in its box, so nothing shifted out of its place, and was extremely easy to put together w/o even looking at the well-written Owner's Guide (OG) that comes with it, until after I assembled it (oops, says not to do that). The OG includes everything you need to know:All parts included are labelled and pics are included with all the "How-to" pages like using & storing accessories, how to maintain dust cup & filters, how to clear blockage, maintain & replace the brushroll or belt, problem-solving, 2 yr limited warranty info & parts order guide are all included. Most importantly, is the Customer Service Helpline 800# and the "Eureka Clean Promise Seal" which "stands by" their product. It IS Light-weight, slides easily across carpeting with light pushing pressure. Has 5 height settings - bare floor to high carpet. The vacuum suction is very good, you can see things on the outside of the vac head being sucked under, too. WHAT I LIKED MOST: the hose attachment clicks into the handle and becomes an extension for using the tools, and the suction in that mode is strong. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: is that after I finished my very small 1 bdrm apartment, (420 sqft) the air vent on the side of the dust cup, had 2 small clumps of dusty debris starting to come out of the vent. In the pic you can see all the buildup, accumulating around the air vent inside the cup & filter, but it was starting to come out of the vent and back into my apartment when I caught it. I Will have to watch that. BITTERSWEET:There is a washable foam filter screen & the plastic filter cup, which come apart for cleaning after every use, which is better for our planet, but you will be washing on top of vacuuming. I don't mind that at all! This model does not have the turbo brush or the headlight. The vacuum is about 44"inches tall and the cleaning head is 13"inches wide.
