I was skeptical at first due to the reviews, but we went forward anyway and we are so glad we did! this triple bunk is PERFECT for my two 9 yr olds and 7 yr old. the hidden shelving under the steps is a great addition along with the little shelf/surface on the top bunk. perfect for books, stuffed animals, and other odds and ends (especially if you're on the top bunk and don't want to get down😆). the slats and overall frame is extremely sturdy. the bed is not bulky and fits extremely well alongside a TV stand and dresser in a 10'8"x12'3" room. absolutely love this wish we ordered sooner! only thing to keep in mind the thicker mattresses will be too thick, so if you have the bulky twin you may need to resize. otherwise if you're considering it, do yourself a favor and order it!
Some assembly required is kind of an understatement lol we made it s family affair. Just make sure you have plenty of help and read ahead on the instructions. Over all very pleased with the purchase.
We are very happy with our bunk bed. But it came without the instruction manual and I was unable to find one or get a replacement so assembly was much more difficult. It would have been very easy to put together if we knew where each screw size was intended for but we were able to figure it out. So forewarning that is a possibility. The bed was packaged well. Considering it was one of the cheapest triple bunk beds I am very pleased. It is sturdy and looks nice.
First the bad: The instruction for assembly were very minimal and definitely could have used more detail to show orientation of parts. There was a threaded pole for the mattress support missing, but a standard pole was available and used. About 6 of the threads for the frame were misaligned and required me to manipulate the securing bolts so they would completely seat. Now the good: even with the issues above, I (at 210 lbs) was able to securely scale the steps and sit and lay on the beds without fear of damage or collapse. I ended up having to reposition the beds once it was assembled and it was not difficult. The bed does not make much noise when the kids are on it, either. My children love their new bed space and have really taken to decorating and making it their own.
assembly was a real pain, def easier with two people at the end when setting the top bunk. some screws are easier than others. invest in a decent set of allen wrenches or an impact gun with allen bit.
Shorter height than I thought. Barely enough overhead clearance for the 11 year -old in the lower bunk who is almost 5 feet tall. We partially resolved it by getting a smaller mattress (8" instead of 10"). The space works well for the younger ones--lower seat height from floor-- and plenty of overhead. Despite one of the bed slats was bent during assembly, it's been sturdy and holding up so far. Overall, the boys love it.
Absolutely DO NOT recommend! Not safe at all main support bar on bottom bunk bent right in half!! The person who only sat on it wasnt no where near the supposed weight limit. The instructions said the bottom bunk could hold 350lbs and top 250lbs. These were bought for our kids and the bottom support bar couldnt hold up passed being sat on 1x. The instructions are beyond difficult to follow. The bars were not a smooth finish had rough spots. The welds where you connect the bars to put bolts in were crooked so the bolts kept going in at a crooked angle. The only good part about the bed was the stairs everything else isnt worth paying $1 for. HIGHLY disappointed in this purchase!!! Do NOT buy save yourself the headache of putting it together just to take it apart.
this item is a total pain to put together. it's also very flimsy and can't handle the weight of an average sized adult, despite it's high weight limit claims.
Came with no instructions with 2 separate shipments and bed frames are thin metal almost easily bendable not safe for kids !!!
I returned it it had missing pieces. I couldn't find the manufacturer number and Walmart was no help
