The instructions were easy to follow. The wood and parts seem sturdy but the over all build is a bit wobbly. The legs are staggered a bit so it doesn't sit flush against a wall for stability. Will be adding wall brackets to help the wobble and squeeks.
The set up is great. It works well in my children's small shared room. Assembly was tedious, but expected. Try to have all pieces laid out and organized, this helped the process tremendously. I read in some of the other reviews that some pre-drilled holes were not there. I did encounter this issue at the beginning, but quickly realized that I had something upside down! So triple check before you start drilling new holes lol
The bed is sturdy and space saving. We have two kids ages 8 and 6 and they loved their own bed and their own desks. It took us 8 hours to put it all up. Parents are definitely not allowed on the bed
Great set. Read instructions carefully! Depending on stability you may want to get a kit to mount against the wall.
i love the bed itself, and so do my kids, but when i opened the boxes to assemble the beds, there were a good amount of dings and dents in the wood. The edge of one of the desk tops was all scraped up as well. By the time i realized it, most of the bed was built already so there was no way i was taking it back apart so we just have to live with it
Lots of pieces which was to be expected, some not labeled so that made the process take longer to put together. Once together it is kind of shaky, will probably have to add some support to make the kids feel more secure. Overall it gave us more space for the kids to have in their shared room with all of the free space below the beds. The desktops are very cheaply made and the finish was already peeling at the edges, will probably line them with a shelf liner to protect them.
this is such a cheap made bed. have had only 10 months and screws are piping out everywhere. bed slats are breaking and it's very VERY wobbly. only has my 1 kid in it weighing 118lbs. there is NO WAY it should be breaking for the cost. completely disappointed.
Awful Experience. They guy who built it, broke it, didn't finish it completely, put pieces on backwards and upside down. Best part? He left screws sticking out of certain areas. Walmart has been awful because it's been impossible to get a refund. I've sent them photos. I have to now pay someone to take the bed apart and haul 150 pieces of this bed to Fed Ex?! Worst costumer service ever and the bed sucks. I've been waiting for Walmart to try and schedule a freight pick up but we've heard nothing so I'll have to spend more hours calling their customer service.
This was the worst experience I have every encounter when purchasing from Walmart. The product came with no hardware to assemble the bed. The instruction where very hard to decipher. I would never purchase something like this from walmart.com again.
We were so disappointed. My daughter was so looking forward to this bed. Time wise. 5 star arrived prior to date promised. Now the horrible part. It was super damaged in shipped. It looks like someone totally mowed it down in a forklift or something. The desk part 3 boards for the desk surface were damaged severely. We were so disappointed. Returning. I do believe it could be a great loft bunk however.
