It arrived a day early, very well packed. Installation was simple. I was able to do it myself, saving the hassle and expense of going to the mechanic. My RV fires right up now, and I'm back to trouble-free camping. The battery delivery was perfect for my needs
I have had good luck with these batteries with vehicles that have a lot of electronics draw. My vehicles can set for weeks without being driven and battery will always start them Traditional batteries would need to be jumped after several days from the dram of the vehicle electronics. These are much cheaper over time vs. the lesser batteries that will need replacing every 2-4 years.
After a couple of months of use, this platinum AGM EverStart battery started to corrode both terminals and the battery bracket holder. It is time to use the multiple year warranty.
Let me start by saying I really like Walmart. This online shopping experience for this battery leaves much to be desired. I received this battery to replace the one in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I received the battery in an intact box but the interior of the box including its insufficient packing, was tore up. I am shocked the battery was not damaged. I saw a few scuffs in the case but no cracks. The bottom "packing" material was smashed flat and the top "packing" clearly showed signs of beathing the crap out of said packing with the posts. The battery checked good and with a voltmeter I confirmed it was charged. After installing the new battery I found zero issues. I then went to my local Walmart to turn in my core and obtain my $12.00 core refund. At the automotive service center, I met with Auto Team Leader Melissa, she was great! She scanned my receipt and acknowledged by core. She then told me there was not way to refund the core charge and show me the screen. She advised an in store purchase would have a way to select to refund the core charge. She escorted me to the Service desk at the front of the store where they found the same issues. The service desk personnel provided me a phone number to call 479-277-2643, to obtain my refund. I was about 30 minutes into this so far. Another 20 minutes on the phone and spoke to someone that kept trying to refund my purchase. I thought I finally made it clear that the new batter was fine, and that I wanted a core refund. She finally said ok give it to the store and you will receive you refund within a couple of weeks. At this point I was not feeling assured and now spent more time than the $12 was worth. On my way out I saw Melissa and explained the status so far, she told me I was the only one that she dealt with that tried to a core charge refunded for an online battery purchase (they must have known lol). After getting home I had an email from Walmart that informed me of the following (copied and pasted refund) Return to store These items need to be returned to the store to complete your refund. Sold and shipped by Walmart Return by Thu, Feb 27 item image EverStart Platinum AGM Battery, Group Size 65 Qty: 1 $179.84 Refund summary Subtotal $179.84 Taxes $24.59 Refund total $204.43 Refund pending item return $204.43 Just fyi, I would have purchased this battery from the store, but neither my local or any of the nearest Walmart had it in stock. My advice, order this in the store and pick up the store. Good luck!!!!!
Great price, great warranty and I especially like that there are Walmarts nearly everyplace i travel personally and as my hobby. Typically automotive batteries are only made by a small handful of manufacturers so it really doesn't matter where you purchase it it is the price and warranty I look at.
The battery itself appears to function as it should, and is of good quality, however after attempting to return old battery for core refund to two different stores unsuccessful at both customer service desk and auto service departments I have given up. Strongly urge you to think twice about ordering online, odds of a core refund are very low, other reviews are correct on this subject!
A month ago I was able to walk in to my Walmart and get this battery on the shelf. Now it can only be drop shipped. The battery I received was on it's way out. State of charge was 90% but the state of health was less than 50%. For a battery that advertised 775 CCA it arrived only able to put out less than 600 CCA. After charging the battery it did not improve much. Still 50% health for a supposed new battery.
The Product is great,HOWEVER the ORDERING proccess is the WORST!!! The battery was in stock at the store, Walmart did not need to order the battery, just pull off the shelf. Now walmart will not let me cancel this order, I gave them a onLine cancelation notice. Walmart acknolwedge the cancelation receipt but said I might not be able to cancel the order! Under what grounds do they deny cancelation??
Battery arrived damaged and leaking. Looks like it was damaged before it was placed in the box. Leaked battery acid allover my work bench.
my jeep is my daily driver. no parasitic drain. I don't leave the lights on. my alternator works perfectly and is 3 months old. no issues with my jeep at all. 9.8 volt reading. my charger won't even charge it and says "battery failure". also, came with no handle...
