I installed fog lights on my pickup truck and needed a power lead wire. The Everstart fit the job to a tee. Soft and pliable made going from the switch to the lights a snap. Easily went around the fixtures and with the black insulation blended into the background nicely. There is 40 feet of length giving you plenty of material to work with. I am very satisfied with this Everstart Auto Wire. The wire is rolled on a coil to make using and storing a breeze.
The housing that the wire comes on is very handy. There is a hook that conceals itself inside the spool housing. You can hang it on your workbench or on a nail to pull wire when repairing you automotive harness. The wire unspooled easily for me and worked as expected.
This wire is a great deal for many reasons including how many feet you get per dollar, it's not super stiff and it solders easily. I do a lot of electrical and never thought to check Walmart and ended up buying 3 different kinds while there because of quality and price
18 gauge wire that is easy to use and splice. It is a mesh and not a solid copper wire which helps for it to be flexible for more complex jobs. Conduit is nice and thick and will help prevent any wear and tear. Overall, a nice bundle of wire for almost any job you'd need.
Impressed - really impressed. I work on old cars, motorcycles and ATV's all the time. This wire is much more durable than what I typically pay much more for! It has a thick cover, holds its flexibility and bends easily without compromising its integrity. Definitely a "must try" for both novices and frequent users!
This is good quality wire with a nice convenient spool that makes it easy to use and store no mattery what project that you are working on. I work on arcade machines and always need to have some wire in my little tool kit. Arcade machines use a lot of Molex connectors which are known for having connection problems. I have to fix them all the time. Sometimes I like to make my own wiring harnesses from scratch with new wire and molex pins. For this reason I need to keep plenty of wire on hand. I have a nice little electrical kit with some electrical tools, electrical supplies, components like switches, potentiometers, and sometimes spare arcade parts. Because I keep so many different items in my little arcade repair kit, I need the wire to be organized and stored efficiently. To be honest, any wiring that you buy will probably work just fine so for me it is all about the packaging and how convenient the wire is to use and store. That's why I picked this wiring. It has a nice spoon to keep it from getting all tangled up with everything else in the tool kit. Overall I would recommend this wiring, the price is right and the spool that it's on makes it easy to use and store.
The strands are thick and the shielding was actually better than other wire I have in the same gauge. I used this to run grounds for an emergency light installation on a volunteer firefighters truck. It did not tear out of a crimped connection like some of the other wire with thinner strands did which made us feel much better about how this would hold up over time. Also I want to mention the little pop up hook on the roll, I used it to hang it up on my shelf above the work bench. Word of caution, hold on to the wire in the spool when removing the cellophane from it when you unwrap it for the first time, a lot of it unrolled on me when I first opened mine.
Product came in a plastic bag. Wire was on a spool and easy to unroll. Wire is the right gage for vehicle. I would need to buy wire in different colors to do a good replacement on a wire harness. I would look for this item.
Good as any clad wire I've used. Flexible yet has a thick insulative jacket. Good for auto and marine applications. I'll be using it as speaker wire out on the pool deck. I like the hook to either hang or stow the loose sire end, pretty clever.
While simple and not spectacular or extra, the 18 Gauge 40ft. black wire by EverStart is an affordable product that fulfills its purpose well. Be mindful of the strength limitations when using this product, and as long as you remain within those parameters, then this product is right for you.
