The only person that helped me in any capacity was a gentleman in the car service area named Mike . He explained that they do not let you schedule appointments for a battery installation. Well, that is not what the guys in the garage told me yesterday… However, he got me in on a very busy Saturday and I was out of there less than an hour and a half. He was awesome but everyone else that I’ve contacted or been in touch with or lack there of has been terrible. As I said, I called 10 times yesterday I went to eight different departments and the only department that picked up the phone was the pharmacy. All the rest just rang and rang and rang.
I purchased this battery for my old work truck. A 91 ford RANGER. It really does the job. Fast cranking, even in 19 degree snow weather it always performed. Best price around that I could find. Very reasonable. i will be anxious to find out the life span of the battery. So far so good.
I went to the wrong Walmart and was at the pick up parking space %23 1, when I I received a call from the employee of the Walmart where I should have been. The caller was very gracious and kind. She explained what had happened and in a professional way what I needed to do to pickup the battery I had purchased. I would like to give that employee six stars, but I can only give a five. She did a wonderful job. thank you Walmart!
Let me preface this by saying I’ve NEVER worked on cars before! However, I was armed with YouTube videos and a ratchet set I bought from Walmart and even I, someone that is car stupid, but elite at researching, was able to change my own battery for my own suv. Please research your car to see if after you change your battery, if you have to reprogram your vehicle. But I put mine in 2 weeks ago and it starts up with no issues. Solid purchase this far.
You guys help me big time. My truck battery, it dropped a cell and would not charge at all. I had know way to go get a battery, so I ordered a battery online and you had it at my door with in a hour. It doesn't get any better than that. Thank you 😊 🙏
Cheap, Efficient and Affordable top post battery! My Big ol' F250/ V10 had a bad battery, wouldn't crank for days ... researched battery type needed found this bad boy and couldn't believe the price! Even with the core charges it was so inexpensive, now I know you get what you pay for but for what I needed the thing for, it worked flawlessly! I installed this it, and my big baby cranked right up, holds a charge well ( I overly went driving to test it and make sure my alternator was doing its job) and it held the charge seamlessly and stayed charged so what else can one ask for?! I'm a single mom of two and I don't have thousands of dollars to throw at my big red truck so this will suffice for the time being! All I could ask for, even if it only lasts a year as most of the reviews here states, wouldn't you agree you've more than got your $69.75 worth!!? I WOULD SAY YES!! So if you're on a budget or just don't feel like wasting tons of money, I more than recommend this bad boy!!!
These batteries tend to last about 3 years, which seems OK for the price, but this one was a little short of lasting that long. I also was given one (since I ordered online) that was several months old from the shelf. My advice to others: Know what you are getting, and consider buying in store in order to pick the freshest, most long lasting unit. Also, count on them dying at the most inopportune time, since that is the way of things in general.
It’s a great battery for when you need something right now and don’t have the budget for an AGM. As long as you make sure nothing’s on when you leave your vehicle, it should last for at least several months. Make sure to hook it up to a battery boiler if you’re gonna be cranking on it for a while. And put it on a tender at 5A in cold months. Only negative things about these batteries are quality control (some are fantastic, some are terrible and it’s luck-of-the-draw) and warranty. Walmart doesn’t want to acknowledge the existence of these batteries once the positive terminal sleeve is taken off. It’s the price you pay for the cheapest brick-and-mortar-sold batteries around. But if it’s a dud, there’s a non-zero chance you’ll be stuck with it. Other than that, these are my first choice if I need a battery right now and don’t have the budget for something better, or just need some backups to keep around for projects.
The battery works fine, so far. My issue is with the core charge refund, which the local Wal-Mart would/could not honor. The customer service rep. at the store had a less than friendly attitude and simply gave me the phone number for online customer service. That was a nightmare, since they also did not know how to handle the core charge refund. Needles to say, I will not purchase another automotive battery from Wal-Mart online.
imI wonder if this is thd first battery Walmart has sold. Very easily charged a $12 core fee, but not a clue how to give that back when i returned the old battery. This was the automotive department! I was just told "We have no way to do that". What? A manager managed to give me my refund with some work around, but seriously?
