I say, as long as you follow the instructions on building you wont have any issues. I saw a few complaints on the pedals.. instructions state.. left pedal must be turned counterclockwise and right must be turned clockwise.. the other issue was height, instructions state.. (bottom of cusion) use rear for 5'1 to 5'6 and front for 5'7 to 6'1 ... I built this on my own within 40 mins and came out perfectly.
This bike is the best online purchase I have ever made. Easy to assemble, easy to fold up and store in the closet. Overall, I am impressed with the durability of the design. I am a large man ( 6'2 - 265lbs) and this bike fits perfect. The wide seat is so comfortable. I use this bike 5 times a week for 45 mins each session. I have lost over 15-20 lbs in two weeks. I recommend this bike to everyone. Great Deal.
I read many reviews and then decided to purchase this exercise bike. I'm so happy I did. I had someone put it together which took about 20 minutes. It is just like the reviews said - extremely quiet, very easy to use and is exceptional for a quick "ride in the park". I am about 5' 4 1/2" and had to put the seat all the way down. The seat is very wide and comfortable. I have been using it often during the day since I have it situated while I can watch TV. I have only had it for 3 days and just starting out so I accomplish about 1/2 mile each time I get on it. I would definitely recommend this bike.
I love my new exercise bike. It took 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. to assemble, but the directions were very clearly explained. I especially like how you can fold it up between workouts. It is more sturdy than I anticipated. For me, it is perfect and displays all I care to know!
Very easy to put together, sturdy & whisper quiet. Easy to fold up to save space. Surprised with the quality of this bike. the price is very reasonable. But it will make a groaning noise if it is not level. I had the back arm stabilizer on the floor & the front arm stabilizer on a small rug, it started making a noise while I pedaled..took a minute to discover my mistake, placed both arms on the floor & the noise stopped. The computer my not be totally accurate but close enough for my needs. You can clear each section daily by holding the button until it clears, the odometer will stay for a total of mileage put on the bike. Really nice feature.
First let me say, that I found the instructions to put it together to be very well done. I had absolutely no problem with any of it and I'm a woman, believe it or not (lol). Also, this bike really is as quiet as they say. I couldn't believe it but it is truly almost soundless. Those that complained about the left pedal and/or that it doesn't fit shorter people, I would just say that it is important to actually read the instructions because it's all in there, if you follow it. The left pedal does go on differently and it says that. The seat also has specific directions as to how it is placed on the bike, if you are shorter. I am 5'4 and I put the seat on based on that height and I have the seat raised to the 3rd notch so...shorter than 5/4 should most certainly be fine on this bike. I love it...best exercise bike I have every had.
We have only had this bike for 3 weeks and we have used it everyday since, so far, it has performed as well as it's claims. We were so impressed with the quietness that we now have it in our living room (had the perfect place for it) and we can now use it anytime, especially in the evening, be with the family and watch TV with them. Due to it's sturdiness, I feel it will last for a long time, I guess time will tell. Thanks Walmart for your speediness and great concerns with your orders. Oh by the way, assembling the bike was very simple.
I bought this 6 months ago to replace an older chain-driven exercise bike which had broken after many, many years of use between several owners. I've used it daily since then. For the price, I think this bike is a fantastic value. As others have said, the position of the pedals is further forward than with a traditional bike; standing while riding it will be out of the question. Because the resistance mechanism is magnetic this bike is extremely quiet and you can very easily watch TV, listen to music, etc. It also provides plenty of resistance, riding on setting 3 or 4 for a while gives me enough of a workout. There's a big resistance jump from setting 2 to 3 though, so if you'd prefer something between those two you're out of luck. I'm about 5'10' tall and have no issues with this bike, but if you're significantly taller you might have issues (your knees may bump against the handlebars). If the bike is something you'd use only once in a while, it folds away nicely for easy storage and can be wheeled around (although it's unwieldy, it's not heavy). I tend to ride about 15-20 minutes at a time and the seat has given me no problems. Be aware that I've repeatedly read that it's a non-standard seat size so you may not be able to swap it out. Assembly wasn't too bad, but to remove some of the stickers on the pedals you'll need to use a product like Goo-Gone because they're not really meant to come off. I don't use the pedal straps but they feel a bit cheap and seem to be a common point of failure from reviews I've read, so if having straps is important to you that may be a deal-breaker. The other thing on the bike I'd say could definitely be improved is the computer console. The calorie reading seems extremely unreliable (it seems to be the same regardless of resistance setting) and the console itself feels cheap and hollow (because it is). The other functions work fine. The numbers on the console are big and easy to read, though the unit is not backlit. The good: Great value at around $150 Very Quiet Easy to store Provides a surprising amount of resistance Sleek appearance Keep in mind: - Unusual pedal position, can't be ridden while standing - Seat size makes replacing it difficult if you want a different one - Resistance levels 2 and 3 have a big gap so some people may find that their preferred resistance is unavailable. - This bike doesn't plug in. The computer is battery-powered (2 AAA). The bad - Cheap-feeling computer console - Not for extremely tall users (5'10" and under is definitely fine) The ugly - Cheap pedal straps; don't buy this if you care about them - Calorie counter seems inaccurate
I purchased the exercise bike for my diabetic husband. He needs to constantly walk to lower his blood sugar. So now he will ride the bike at home when the weather is too cold, rainy, icy and snowy. It was easy to assemble. and definitely easy to store, he loves it .
I was so excited! I read the reviews, and was looking forward to my workouts. I noticed (as soon as I removed the parts from the box) the derailleur, or crank had a crack in it. I thought, maybe once I put it all together, this crack will seal up. So, put it together I did. The crack did not close up once every screw was tightened. I rated a fair, because you can't judge a broken product; except to say it's broken. I will say this.... The frame and stand of this bike appears to be quite firm. Therefore, I am sending it back in exchange for another. The box it came in, on one end had a smashed in corner. I know it could not have come from the factory in said condition, so one must look to the Shipping Co. In any case, I look forward to receiving my new and unbroken Exercise Bike. I believe the value of it, for it, is worth it. If it met my expectations?.... I will come back and rate it when I know.
