These work really well and you are able to change them from left hand to right hand for cut cutting. If you are left handed then you know what I'm talking. If you're right handed try using scissors with your left hand and see how difficult it is to cut something.
It looks like it has the capacity to be left-handed also, but I am right-handed so the switch came set to that. The rubber on the handles seems sturdy and they have a locking mechanism so that you can store them in the closed position. I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet, but they seem as though they will function well. It seems so odd to be referring to one tool with they/them pronouns, so I had to look it up and it's been going on for over a hundred years, so who am I to try to alter it. Lol
I bought 5 pair of pruners of different brands or models . I carry a pair with me on my riding mower and with a few acres sometimes I lose them so it was time to restock. these are a Walmart brand and although they are not cheap in price they are not cheap in quality either. I also bought a pair of fiskars for a bit more money . I am thinking these are the better pair with nicer features except for the color . fiskars will be easier to find in the yard but the expert Gardener has a hole built into the handle I have put a string through and maybe I can tie it to the mower so I am not looking for them. they also have an easy lock to keep them closed and it seems to work well. and you can slide a button to have them open wider for larger limbs. I have small hands so the smaller position is great for my hand and now if the stickers agree not to get too thick. they are my 1st pick out of the 5 pairs I ordered and had delivered to my door . they are still new so this is not to say they lasted the summer but they are the winner thus far.
These work like a charm - cut twigs easily, lock when not in use, etc. A gardener can use them in many places throughout a yard. My only advice is to be careful as the blades were much sharper than I anticipated and when I went to clean them in-between pruning different plants, I cut one of my fingers. My fault though - guess I was just used to my old dull ones!!
This is an outstanding garden clipper both in quality and price. It is sharp, cuts through heavy bush brances with ease, fitw a woman's hand as well as any adult hand, uses a nonrusting safety blade closing system when not in use. I have several other, higher priced clippers sitting here thjat dulled, rusted, can't be sharpened, to compare with--I am happy I found the "Expert Gardener" clipper here at Walmart!
I think these clippers are great. They feel good in your hand and very sharp good product hand shears ye i think these clippers are great. They feel good in your hand and very sharp good product
they are not the best. but they will do. i expect to have to sharpen them occasionally. the slide on the face of the tool is misunderstood, it is NOT for interchangeable left/right hand change. IT SIMPLY ALTERS THE WIDTH OF THE TOOLS CUTTING BLADE, here is my ai overview... Adjustable Pruner features a slide that allows the blade and handles to be adjusted to fit different hand sizes, which helps reduce fatigue during long gardening sessions. Walmart 1 Small Hand Setting: Moving the slide can limit how wide the handles spring open. This is ideal for those with smaller hands or for doing light, repetitive tasks like deadheading flowers. Large Hand Setting: Setting the slide to the wider position allows for maximum leverage, which is necessary when cutting thicker branches up to the full 3/4-inch capacity theyre basically- ok. i have a better pair of fiskars. i keep misplacing them so i bought a 2nd cheaper pair
I like these pruners as far as they seem well bult and fairly easy to use. Unfortunately, the blades are not very sharp. First time using them, I was trimming back perrywinkle ivy vines, which are thin, like a small flower. At least 1/3 of the time the blades could not cut the vine unless I pulled the vine tight and then cut. Since pulling on whatever you are cutting is not always possible, I feel that these pruners do not do a sufficent job.
I bought this to get Crepe Myrtle cuttings, because it said to cut with a clean, sanitized tool in order to not cause routing issues. This pruner did not cut newly grown limbs. It shredded them. I couldn't get a good cut. It was better on old wood, but a no for the new growth branches.
these look good but are Not there is a slide on the side to open wide or short that does not work ,they do not fully open you have to pull the cutters open for each cut.. the lock does work. low price but more work than any other pair.
