Good soil and affordable. It was delivered to my home twice, which was great because I'm a senior and a woman, and it is hard for me to pick up these big bags at the store. After that, they don't deliver anymore. Too bad, because I would have bought a lot more.
Actually I was surprised how nice this garden soil is. I have bought a lot over the years od differant brands but I have to say this was the nicest. I hope Walmart keeps selling it. The soil was well ground, felt good..like a really good ground soil..maybe better.
This is great garden soil for a fair price. Its dark in color and a nice rich soil for my raised garden beds. It smells like it has been enriched with some compost or possibly some manure. Whatever they have added its much better than topsoil and my veggies are growing well in it.
Forget miracle grow--this works just as well and is way cheaper. I used it for vegetables in a raised bed as well as garden flowers. I should have bought more and next year I will--it sold out so fast
This garden soil is the best price for what you get, especially compared to the home improvements stores. I've been using it for the past 3 years and really like how it's filled out my garden
it's OK for the price, but calling "garden soil" is misleading. It's apparently dirt that was used for something else, then dug up - plant roots, mulch and all - then packaged and resold. I used it for potting soil, and so far, my plants are doing fine.
Mostly light colored wood splinters 1/2" -2"long, with some other stuff like sand. If you dry it in the sun, the material changes from dark brown to dark tan. Nobody would mistake it for any kind of dirt. It's meant to be mixed with real soil and doesn't look like it could sustain plant life on its own.
It does have a bit of bark, not a problem but it is very silty. All of my vegetables that I planted arent growing, no fruit and now they all have come down with a virus or blight. My raised garden is ruined and I am out 100s of dollars.
Worst soil I've ever bought! I bought this for a new small bed I put in. All plants were flourishing until I put them in this soil, which is more like mulch. After about a week the soil was hard as a rock. Even weeds didn't grow in this crap.
Garbage!! Mostly sand. Had to go to the "hardware store" next door to buy a real bag of garden soil. Epic fail Walmart!
