These are the best gloves I have had for yard work. They are comfortable, water resistant, and keep dirt out due to the knit wrist that clings perfectly to my wrist to stay put. I like that my hands do not sweat in these and I always have a great grip with these due to this great textured palm area. These are perfect for gardening.
When I received these gloves, I didn't give them a second thought until I used them. But man! They work so well!!!! I used them to dig up some of our hard desert soil, plant some succulents and box woods and They were strong! They truly protected my hands and I didn't feel any pain from the hard rock! I then Washed them off while wearing them and realized they are waterproof!!! The gloves I didn't give a second thought to have become my favorite!
These Expert Garderner gloves are very comfortable to wear, they are water resistant, which is great, especially this time of the year, when its starting to get cooler. I wear them when working in the yard in my flower beds and also when handling and repotting my indoor plants. I have several cactus and succulents, that I'm constantly potting “new starts” from. These gloves have actually protected my hands from getting stuck from the cactus. The gloves are comfortable for wearing and textured palm helps me grip my pots etc. the wrist area of the glove is stretchy and fits snuggly and comfortably against your skin. This is good as it keeps dirt and other small particles from getting down into the gloves while your working. I'd say that these gloves run large compared to others I have used. Before buying check back of package, there's actually a sizing chart on back that easily shows you your suggested size.
I used these gloves for several gardening projects this weekend and they held up great! The fact that they're waterproof is great for digging in damp soil. However, the waterproof coating also makes the gloves perfect for working with prickly shrubs like holly - no thorns in my hands this time! The grippy texture on the palm helps with getting a grip on those weeds when pulling them out. I ordered a large because I have long slender hands and they fit perfectly lengthwise but were a bit bulky - not enough to get in the way. It's fine. But next time, I'll probably try a medium. I highly recommend these gloves.
These arrived at the perfect time. Right before I was scheduled to do my annual feeding for my holly trees (I have 30), these came in the mail. They are perfect for working with thorny tree's like Nelly Stevens. The textured palm helped to keep my hands from getting scratched when sticking my hand deep into my tree's interior to spread fertilizer. The rubber backing helped to keep my hands dry as the trees were wet. The knit wrist kept the gloves tight and kept water and dirt out. I have really large hands so I ordered a large. They fit well however I would have preferred an XL. Overall, they work way better than my dollar store gloves that I buy several pair of each year. Hopefully, these will prevent me from having to use those in the future. I would highly recommend these garden gloves if you need a good pair.
These Expert Gardener gloves have really saved my hands. I use them for so many outdoor tasks from pushing the lawnmower, raking, bagging leaves, potting plants, to cleaning out my rain gutters of leaves. The gloves are true to size. I ordered the large just because so many brands run small. The large are a little big on me, but the cuff is great at keeping them in place. A size medium would have been perfect. I have been doing yard clean up from Hurricane Sally and fall in prep for the winter months here in the Florida panhandle. The grip on the gloves keeps my hands from getting blistered when steering the lawnmower or raking the leaves. The water-resistance of the gloves make them perfect for cleaning leaves out of the rain gutters. And finally, the cuff around the wrist keeps leaf dust from getting down into the gloves. The grip and fit of these gloves, even though I have the large, are perfect for finer tasks like repotting plants keeping your hands clean.
These are my go to gloves for gardening and yardwork. They are durable, washable, and grip well enough. I like that my hands and nails stay clean. The fingers of the gloves are loose so sometimes it's hard to grip a shovel or weeds as much as I would like.
after use the rubber leaves an awful smell in your hands.
They run small I would say 1 size. According to their sizing chart I should fit into a large, x-large i fit in but they were just a little bit snug. They are water resistant for the most part, I used them in the garden when there was dew not puddles so I can not saw for certain they are water resistant with large amounts of water. I would purchase these again.
the glove is only dipped on the back, so there is no protection for fingers when grabbing vines and pokey plants. doesnt even keep dirt out
