Expert Gardener Plastic Garden Trowel - 11 inch, Black & Yellow

Expert Gardener Trowel, is just what I needed. I'm preparing for a camping trip so I can use it for around my tent. It's very sturdy and tough. I can assure you that this product will be used all summer.thank you.

I love this hand trowel as it is very lightweight and made of durable resin so should have a long life expectancy. One of the most useful and convenient is the inches on the spade. When planting seeds the packaging will tell you how deep to plant them. With these measurements, simply insert the spade close to where you are planting the seeds and it takes the guess work out of how deep you are into the soil. I highly recommend this trowel and will be using it in place of others I have in my gardening supplies. Thank you for the opportunity to review this product; definitely relevant to me.

This garden trowel is ergonomically designed to allow for the maximum leverage using the wrist. It has a thumb rest on the top of the handle and a tab to separate your fingers for maximum grip. It is embossed with a ruler to allow the user to see the depth of the hole being dug. This is important when planting bulbs and certain plants that have requirements for depth of planting. It has a manufactured hole in the handle for hanging. It is waterproof which is perfect for a wet climate without concern for rust.

Even though this trowel is plastic, it is quite sturdy and strong. I especially like the ridged thumb grip area, and the raised bead on the back of the handle to enhance the grip of the trowel. There is a measuring guide on the interior of the scoop to help with measuring planting depth. I like knowing that, if I leave this trowel outdoors, it won't rust or corrode, being made of plastic, I can just rinse it off and it won't need additional upkeep to maintain it.

What I like about the Expert Gardener Garden Trowel is it has measuring lines in it so you can tell exactly how much soil or fertilizer you are adding to your planter. That is very helpful. Its also made of tough heavy duty plastic that I believe will hold up to a lot of use with out the handle bending. That has happened on more than one of my trowels before. This one seems to be made a bit better than the others. It also has a little hole in the handle so it can be hung on a wall if I want to keep it that way.

This trowel is fully plastic. Not exactly what I was expecting. It's a tough plastic though. I worked pretty good for scooping soil into my pots. I like how you can measure with it. It works good. I'd recommend it.

I received the Expert Gardener Trowel. This entire tool is made out of plastic. Which, is not a bad thing. It can be used in wet ground or rinsed off without rusting. The neat thing about this is, the section that you scoop dirt with has raised measurements on it. It measures from zero to 4 inches on the left and zero to 10 centimeters on the right. This way when you are digging in your garden or yard, you have some measurements to guide you. I measured the length of the tool, including the scoop and handle, to be 11 inches. The top of the handle has a wide size opening which you can hang your tool, when not in use. And, there is a grooved section to put your thumb on when digging. This can be used with either the right or left hand.

I would recommend this product because it is very handy to have, it is made of a hard plastic, so you don't have to worry about it rusting. This garden trowel has marking on it to tell you the depth your planting, so this is great for bulbs. I'm using it to repot my houseplants.

I bought this to take backpacking where it will be used to dig cat holes (for pooping in.) I am pleased with the fact that the blade has a ruler in both inches and centemeters. I plan on measuring both my BMs length and diameter. Centemeters will come in handy if I hike in Canada. The label is difficult to remove and needed a goo-B-gone treatment.

I'm a senior who has been gardening for many years. I found this trowel works well in soft ground or cultivated beds but was not as effective when digging in the yard for weeds or heavy rooted plants like dandelions. It was not sharp enough to cut through. I think it is great for pot gardening and will keep it in my tool bag for that reason.
