love love love it ! fantastic quality grill. i have a big stainless steel grill butbits only my husband and i home now. this grill is perfect for the two of us and so easyb to clean. the propain last longer because its smaller. has two burners also. i definitely recommend it.
Incredible for the price. The 5th star is for the reviewer who gave me the idea to salvage the thermometer from my old grill - awesome!! So far I have just grilled a sausage but the thing is obviously great. This tabletop grill had almost everything I wanted for at least $25 less (2 separate knobs on front, upper rack, and a full size propane tank connection - kept me from having to buy adapter hose). Side handles and a thermometer would be nice but I added the thermometer from my old grill (thanks to other reviewer) and of course can always use a meat thermometer. Handle got pretty hot which was my only complaint. I think I do prefer when there's an uncovered flame like on my big grill, but I can always remove the dampeners if I want. This might be my best buy of the year.
We went with this little grill because it’s big enough to cook on for our family and the biggest bonus is that it does not have crappy cast iron grates that rust and fall apart and then stick to your food. Don’t buy a grill with cast iron grated, they are junk. So this is an affordable option to get stainless grated. Seems to heat evenly too!
Nice size grill. Large enough to prepare meals for 2-4 people but small enough to stow away on an RV or boat. The hood has latches to lock it down and the legs fold up for easy transport using the hood handle. It was easy to assemble. Only the hood handle required a screwdriver to attach. The gas tank screwed on easily. The directions to fire up the burners were confusing as they indicated to look for a specific symbol which was missing from this model. Photo is attached. The burners fired up without any issues. Steaks cooked evenly with a nice char. The low heat setting was not low enough for slow cooking. Portable grills have a lot of parts exposed to food splatter and drips and most are not removable for cleaning. The grill was quite blackened after a few meals. Overall, a nice grill when downsizing or for use away from home.
What a great compact grill. We just grilled our first meal of Italian Sausages and Brats. Perfect results, with no flare ups. As with almost any gas grills, there are two areas of the cooking grid that have a slightly lower temperature than the rest of the cooking areas. On my grill that would be in the front left and the right rear. That does not mean that I see this as a problem because I now know that I can rest almost completely done meats in those areas where they will continue to cook, but at a slower rate than the rest of the food. That works well for me. But there is one big CAUTION that you need to address. With just about any die or machine cut sections of stainless steel, there are knife sharp edges that need to be dulled. Most of the ones that I found were inside the grill body itself where most people won't be sticking their hands. However for those of us who actually deep clean the entire grill, you can easily take the sharp edge off by rubbing it lightly with a sharpening stone. Other than that (which cost the grill one star) I have nothing bad to say about it.
I purchased this grill at over 50% off on sale! The grill seems to be built pretty good but it’s manufactured using lower quality stainless steel but if taken care of by following the manufacturer’s instructions on operation, cleaning and maintenance, you shouldn’t have any issues with it and it should provide you with years of service! There is a small problem with the one that I purchased! The issue? The manufacturing process wasn’t quite completed before the grill was packaged and shipped out for retail sale! Quality control didn’t catch the error! The issue was that when I went to install the upper warming rack support arms into the hole’s located on each side of the grills lid, the holes where the support arms are supposed go into were not drilled out at the factory prior to being boxed and shipped out to the retailer! I had to carefully measure and figure out exactly where to drill the holes on each side of the lid so that the warming rack operated correctly when opening and closing the lid and that the lid sit correctly when the grill was closed. ***See all attached photos ***
Love my new grill and I did NOT get any benefit or this review! Easy fixes: You can add thermometer by simply drilling a 3/8" hole - $10 or cook without thermometer. Biggest Complaint is top rack bar slides out and warming rack falls. True, I added 2 cap screws onto top round bar to prevent it sliding out of predrilled holes and added 1 small open O washer in middle of warming rack where it attaches. Success in keeping warming rack in place open or closed! Now my Expert 2 burner grill is perfect!
I like how it fits nicely on my deck. I like the little side clips on the lid, so the top does not come open. I like it because it’s portable. I don’t like how the heating element is so close to the food, because it flares every time the food drips. You have to watch the food very closely, so it doesn’t burn. Perfect size grill for two people and taking on a picnic.
I purchased this grill several months ago and after using it maybe 3 times the igniter on the left side stopped working I contacted Walmart because it was still under warranty they referred me to the manufacturer gott in touch with them and they sent me a new ignite But I had to pay 1695 for it while it was still under warranty which is unheard of so caution to anybody who purchases this grill any items still under warranty they will still charge you for
The propane valve is only compatible with standard 20lb propane tanks. Need to buy an adapter to use smaller 1lb coleman propane tanks. had to return because packaging is not clear. never got to use but docked stars due to unclear packaging/description
