Expert Grill Instant Lighting Charcoal Briquets

This company is really looking to make a name for itself! I recently purchased an Expert Grill company grill. The price was considerably less than the most popular brand and the weight of the package was heavier - which indicates to me a better quality product. The grill is fabulous so I decided to try their briquettes. Easily lit up and burned consistently. Much more pleased than the common k brand. Will purchase again for sure!

I bought these for a cookout recently because my normal brand was out of stock. I’ve been overpaying for a long time apparently. These work just as great and cost much less. The are ready to light without additional fluid, and burn pretty evenly overall. I will be buying again for sure.

I don't like using charcoal with lighting fluid but I let burn until the black was gone and there no lighter fluid taste in the food. It worked fine and I would buy it again.I got four uses out of one 8 lb.bag.

I love the Expert Grill Instant Charcoal Briquets! They light up super fast without needing lighter fluid, and they burn evenly for a long time. The 12 lb bag is perfect for multiple grilling sessions, and the heat they give off is great for searing meat. Clean up is easy too. Once you get them cooking, it burns hot but doesn't last too long at high heat. Remember with self-lighting you have to wait 10-15 minutes for the lighter fluid/chemical smoke to go away before you use that to cook food. We had a much harder time lighting these compared to brands like Publix.

The briquettes are smaller than kingsford. It does light right up like it should, and I noticed it burns faster. Ready in about half the time. Of course that means it burns for about half the time as well so good for use if in a hurry. I use Applewood chunks with my charcoal, so I can't say much for flavor because I never use just charcoal.

something about the lighting fluid the charcoal is soaked with leaving an undesirable aftertaste that doesnt agree with me. it burns well. easy to light. maintains the heat and last long enough. just dont like the flavor it gives the meat.

this charcoal is supposed to light without lighter fluid. it doesn't I'm still trying to light it so I can have a barbecue. the charcoal is not burning it's not cooking my food I don't recommend this product at all and I will be returning the product

I purposely bought this charcoal so that I wouldn't need to buy lighter fluid or a chimney. I've used lighter fluid coated charcoal before with great success. This bag of charcoal has been significantly harder to light than regular non-coated charcoal. I have wasted hours trying to get it to light and still had it go out on me. I went out and bought a bag of the name brand stuff (you know the one), not even the kind with lighter fluid, and it is SO much easier to light. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase.

This is the worst charcoal. yes it does its job but everything ai cooked tasted like the charcoal and the fumes coming off the grill were sooo bad smelled like gas
