While drinks definitely make the game more fun, we also had them go flying twice... so proceed with caution. We had a lot of fun with this game with 4 people playing. While you're reading the instructions you'd think - well why would anyone grab the wrong thing? Well we found that even the person with the pickle card grabs the wrong thing in the heat of battle... so just make sure drinks, decorations, cats, etc are all safely tucked away. We had a lot of fun with it

The premise of the game is simple. If you turn up a pickle card, grab the pickle. Easier said than done! Like so many of EK's party games, the rules are easy to learn allowing you to jump right into the fun. Pickle Grab is kind of like a game of Slap Jack with the addition of a cute foam pickle and a defensive line. Trying to remember if you are making the offensive or defensive grab is the trickiest part of the game and caused the most hilarity. Fat paced, silly fun for all ages, this game is a great addition to any game collection.

When I first saw the game I laughed out loud because all I saw when I opened the box it came in, was a strange looking pickle staring up at me. I think the concept is definitely... interesting to say the least. I really enjoyed the little restaurant theme on the front of the jar with the checkers and I loved the plate aspect that came along with it. Once again the instructions were very simple and easy to understand which I appreciate. The first play through was a little chaotic because everyone was learning the game. I like how the pickle has a little weight so it falls right into its little jar and I also like the fact that there is a specific rule if the pickle accidentally falls on the table, or in my case the floor, and what to do when that happens. I was wondering, however, if some type of rule could be added for when/if the pickle thief takes the plate instead of the pickle and the person who is supposed to take the plate takes the pickle, but all at the same time. Does the pickle thief get the safe stack or does the other person? Or does the person who didn't get anything get the safe stack? The second play through went a lot more smoothly and I enjoyed the suspense as each card was being flipped over. Overall a great game that will defiantly grab attention.

Another strange, but insanely fun party game. Chaos and quick thinking continues to be the name of the game, but you have the benefit of not being clocked upside the head by a burrito this time. The card art will definitely throw you off if youre not paying close enough attention. Find the balance focus and reflex to grab that pickle!...or plate.

Pickle Grab turned out to be a fantastic choice for family fun, full of laughter and lighthearted competition. It's especially enjoyable with more than three players. It's easy to pick up so adding players isn't difficult. The pickle, the star of the game, is surprisingly well made and full of quirky charm. If you're looking for a game for the upcoming holidays... PICKle this one up.. I want to add that this can easily be turned into a drinking game for adult game night...

The game itself is a lot of fun! You've probably played slapjack, or war, or some other themed games around this concept, and the pickle concept does make it unique!The "plate" unfortunately has a permanent bend in it from being stored in the cylinder. Surprisingly, it still works as a plate for the purpose of the game, because of how well the pickle is designed! That said, while the jar shape is adorable and stores the pickle well, this isn't a game that will continue to live on our packed-to-the-brim shelves - the quality of the game just doesn't make it worth the space.I'm sure we'll have no problem finding a home for it though - just not with us!

A very quick game to understand and learn, great for family nights or a few friends. Played at a pair or trio the game is easily played and is fair for all three. With more players the pickle thief has a slight advantage if the other players both grab the plate at the same time and pull in opposite directions. Coordination and reflexes are the key!The gane construction is solid and the pickle is weighted well and feels great when you grab it.

I wanted to love this game. The presentation is great. The pickle is very well made and very cute. The cards are fun and well designed.But... the gameplay didn't live up to my expectations.Basically, when the card triggers an action, you either grab the pickle or the plate. We never, in several plays, had the plate pulled and the pickle fall into the container. With that said, my daughter said she enjoyed it and will play it with her friends. So, while I had hoped it would be a fun party game for everyone, perhaps, it will be a hit with younger kids.--Exploding Kittens gave me a free copy of the game in exchange for an honest review.--

We played with three adults and a teen, and we found that it was very reliant on your reflexes! We had to get used to grabbing the plate vs grabbing the pickle.... A lot of times we got too anxious and ended up knocking the whole thing down. Calmer heads need to prevail! Suggestion to maybe make the plate bigger? The pickle thief has the advantage, the games go very quickly. Not much more thought than that is involved, a very simple game if that is what you are looking for!
