Exploding Kittens Presents: Row Your Goat - a Rapid Fire Tic Tac Toe Event- 2-6 Players - Ages 7+ - Family Game - Party Game (Walmart Exclusive)

This has been a wonderfully fun game to play with my 7 and 5 year old. Funny, fast-paced, and entertaining. Highly recommend!

This game is very easy to learn with the paper instructions and the QR code that takes you to the video to watch. The matching of the cards is very simple and to the point. The group that I played with were really getting into it especially when it was time to grab for a lifesaver. I would recommend playing with more than two people and use a card table so you can spread out the lifesavers.

I received a copy of Row Your Goat as part of the Kittens Test Pilots program, and I had the chance to play it with my boyfriend, my mom, and my son. The premise is simple yet surprisingly challenging: you blindly lay down a card on a 3x3 grid, aiming to create sets of three in a row that match either by color or by type of boat. Each card features whimsical images of goats on four different types of watercraft, adding a charming and quirky touch to the gameplay. We all found the game fun and engaging. However, it definitely requires focus—if you try to chat too much while playing, you’re likely to miss a potential set and lose. It’s a great game for those who enjoy quick thinking and pattern recognition.Since it’s just a deck of cards, it’s extremely portable, making it easy to bring along for travel or game nights on the go. Row Your Goat is a lighthearted yet brain-teasing game that’s perfect for players who like a blend of fun and mental challenge.

While the setup for this game sounds complicated at first, in practice it's really quite simple! It's super enjoyable as a group, and led to a lot of light-hearted yelling and competitive feelings. That said, this game may not be suited for the little kids among us, people got a little slap-happy when grabbing tokens, and catching the hang of the pattern recognition can take quite a few rounds; which frustrated some of the younger (and older) players. Super fun overall though!

This game is so much fun and we laughed all throughout the game

My 9 year old son: “I was playing Row Your Goat with my Labubu and my family, and this matching game is awesome. Goats to boats, everything is awesome. By the way, speaking of awesome, I won second place, beat by my mom, but I still had fun because this game is fun to play.”My 7 years old son: “Maybe yes, maybe no, maybe so. I liked the game, but I did not like that my brother was being rude about it. Our 23 year old Au Pair: “I think the game is really nice. It reminds me of the game ‘Spot it’. I will take it out with the kids in the future”40 year old Mom: “This game felt like a rapid, competitive version of one of my favorite games, set. I had fun whether winning or losing although my boys became very competitive with each other when it came to deciding who had their hand on the life boat first. I did like the drive to get my kids into a game of fast paced pattern recognition with quick hand responses. I've got to say, I very much enjoyed the funny goat images. There is something inexplicably hilarious about a goat on a boat.”

When I first saw the packaging was delightful. I loved the color choices and the chaotic illustrations. The palette made the game easily noticeable and the silly little goats are the cherry on top. Being someone who appreciates attention to detail, I loved the the little life floats, goats and the shark fin visible on the inside of the box. The instructions were very detailed but easy to understand and being a visual learner, the tiny illustrations made it simple to set up and play. I also like the fact that you can prevent someone from winning by shouting "row your goat!" I think it's a perfect twist to make the game more interesting. The confusing part was the distribution of the cards. While playing I was unsure whether or not to deal out the full deck or not. I gave myself and the other players 15 cards and put the rest to the side. Playing: The first time I played it took a second to get used to the rules but after I figured them out, it was pretty fun. The other players and I shared a few laughs due to the comedic goat artand just the fact that we almost got three goats in a row but didn't. This game is perfect for a competitive group. You have to be quick and grab a lifesaver when you see three matching cards in a row. It definitely made the game more intense and fun. Overall:I think the concept of the came is both creative and fun. I love the idea of it but the small details really made it memorable. Definitely a keeper for game night!

We played with a group of adults and it was definitely mindless fun that gave us some laughs, but it is definitely targeted at a younger audience. Will definitely be playing more and it’s definitely an in between game at game night or a great end of the night family game.

Row Your Goat is another example of what Exploding Kittens does so well: elevate a really simple idea into an incredibly compelling, ever replayable and snappy party game. It does a great like magic trick of keeping your focus constantly moving so you miss the sneaking aspect that makes the game really riotously fun. It’s not going to be for everyone. I played with a friend who has trouble tracking patterns and he got a little frustrated with the game (and kind of us). Also, like a lot is Exploding Kittens games, it says for 2+ players but it really sings at 4 or 5.Ideal as an amuse bouche for a game night that might have headier stuff once you’re tired of stealing away life savers.

Such a fun mix of tic-tac-toe, spoons, and war! Makes a great quick two player game, but you may need to be at the same gaming level to make it a fair game. You loose focus for a second and you will be grabbing cards. 🙃 For bigger groups it is such chaotic fun! Definitely going to enjoy taking this on family vacations!🐐😆
