This fits various plugs at the same time. You can more easily stretch this out to put the plugs in, close it up then ratchet it smaller. This comes in different colors like orange, green but under different FSN/NSN.
The cover is adjustable and worked well with two different sized plugs that made the connection. It worked much better than a previous one I had ordered which would not accommodate the connection. The black color allowed the cover to blend into the environment.
I needed something to hold the plug ends together and this met the mark at an affordable cost. I takes a few to figure out how to put them on the extension cord, but once you get the concept it's works great for those jobs when you are moving from room to room dragging the cord behind you. They are light duty, so I'm not sure if stepping on them they will hold up, but for the cost and not tying the cords together, well worth the investment.
The photo showed two but I didn't see the 2.5 font that there is only one in the package. Besides that, they are very difficult to snap together and way more complicated than they should be. There is no seal on the ends to keep the water out. It send like moisture could still get inside. I returned them. I ended up using glad press-n-seal to protect the connections on my Christmas lights.
These extension cord protectors are useless on any cord smaller than 14 awg. The inserts on the ends are hard rubber and and will not seal a smaller 16awg cord at all. And, because the tip are a hard rubber, they don't perfectly conform to the cord and make a tight seal. If the insert tip were a much softer rubber they might work OK for larger extension cords. I'm somewhat disappointed in these and will probably never use them. There is no way they would even come close to being waterproof. I'm not so sure they would be all that great at being water resistant.
this product is made too cheaply too many gaps water would seep in no matter what and it fill up water and short out I had to use silicone to seal it that's the only thing that made it worth any value to me overpriced cheap does not protect more than likely would hold water better off not using it unless you buy silicone and seal it upright then it's worth something
