Full size drawing pad, lightweight, and everything you need to get started is provided. The writing tools provided have great performance at light touch or shading, durable and do not break easily. It's really nice that you can use the provided tools and put them back in the plastic with the lid so you don't need a separate pencil pouch. Contains a mechanical pencil, and 12 colored drawing pencils. This has about 15 pages of instructions including drawing anime sideways or at different angles, expressions with different sets of eyes, hair styles, body, and anime fashion.

This kit includes everything I need to start drawing. I love to draw and paint, and I can't wait to take my artwork to the next level.

The color pencils are included and are great quality . Very smooth and vivid colors. I really enjoy how there are detailed steps to guide you and the spiral book is very sturdy. Kept me engaged for hours, I totally recommend!

This is a product that I would have purchased for my son if I knew that it was available. This kit comes with color pencils and a mechanical pencil, and also has instructions on how to draw. I highly recommend it.

It's easy to follow and making some good progress in his abilities! Of course it's not going to magically make you a great artists just like that but it does give many helpful tips and guidelines for making faces and hair to make great looking anime!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kid love drawing Anime characters and cartoons , and he really have books like the Faber-Castell Anime Drawing Kit: Shonen Edition around. Interestingly enough, it comes with English, and French instruction too! Thankfully this includes a set of faber-castell colored pencils, fit with it's own holder in the cover of the book. The whole anime character drawing journey here starts off with narration from an illustrator who goes by the name of Tofu. through their instruction on glossy magazine pages, learning about the basics of drawing an anime character and it goes into the different features that can be included to help bring out their personality. The only thing to flip the book around in order to have each side read the right way up, instead of having the ability to open the book completely to be able to read the full spread top, down. Thankfully, it even includes coloring pages on some decent quality paper to practice colors on, but if you decide to color with markers, or paint, the pages are kind of thin and not completely opaque. Finally, you can easily end on the 15 blank pages to draw everything you learn onto. Overall, it's a good starter guide to drawing …

It for really good with no additional weight. There are a few pages which will give him a lot of options. I wouldn't say it's learning though

There's some already drawn characters to color and some blank pages so you can draw your own. This is a great gift for anime lovers. Especially when wanting to learn to draw anime style.
