We even drew one together and had so much fun. Was great bonding time. I'm a beginner and the fact that I was able to draw a face was remarkable.

We’re African Americans and for her to be able to draw a face using colors that can easily match our skin tones means a lot. All the various aids that came with the kit made it really fun to work with even for me as a parent, it’s really a nice kit for the artist in my family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 8 year old son but my husband has been enjoying it too! It came with absolutely everything needed to learn to draw faces. The instructions were very detailed and even taught some of the tips I learned in my high school art class, such as dividing the face into quarters so everything is symmetrical. The pencils are great and came in a variety of skin tone colors and the color wheel is fantastic. It is made to line up with the muse’s skin so you can adequately match up the colors. The mirror, and easel make it fun and easy to do self portraits. I also appreciated the included eraser and sharpener. My son loved the coloring pages most. If you have a budding artist, young or old, this is a perfect package that includes everything they’ll need as they work on their skills. Highly recommended!

It has all different colors of colored pencils. The pages are full of fun step by step instructions on how to draw different faces. He loves art and is starting to become a really good drawer. I would definately recommend trying this for your little ones.

I was a little skeptical at first but honestly my 6 year old has already been able to duplicate the face sketches. This is perfect for beginners and even professionals. It comes with a lot of sketches to copy and step by step instructions as well as many other items like pencils and paint. A must have for any artist!

He loves to draw and he said this product makes it easier to draw faces now because he couldn't before. I do plan on buying him this art set in the future. I'm hoping that I'll find different ones so that way he can become a better artist.

I like that it comes with skin tome pencles and a 'color wheel' for skin tones so you can hold it up to ypur own skin and it tells you what pencil(s) to uses based on your skintone. My daughter drew me and i must say my 8yro did better than her dad haha

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not really good at drawing and I’m guessing I’ll draw like the average 6th grader. Being able to use the see through paper to copy a face off the instruction paper helped a lot to get a feel for it. I felt accomplished drawing my husbands face. I however could not get the colors to blend together on the see through paper. The finaL result was far from a master piece but the best face I ever drawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit is nice. It comes with a variety of skin tone pencils with instructions on how to layer them to create more tones. It also comes with some pages to color in so you can practice layering the colors which I found to be a nice touch. It has a few pages of heavy duty sketch paper for your portraits and even a little mirror for self portraits. I think this is well thought out for young artists. I do think it’s light on instruction and leans too heavily on tracing as a means of showing how to draw faces. In the end though, all that matters is that my 8 year old really enjoyed this and will continue practicing.
