My dr. Told me to get this device and use it every day. My city was sold out and not sure when restock would happen. First time using Wal-Mart whole store on line. Device was available and shipped w/in a week. Didn t think it would happen. It did! No worries! Thank you!
This tool is great to have in addition to a thermometer. We measured our healthy breathing rates and posted them on the kitchen frig. If any family members should encounter strange physical or mental reactions which may be caused by a pending illness, this little tool gives concrete physical evidence and helps decide if ER care is necessary.
It is so easy to use. Pay attention when you put the included batteries in and thats it. Push the on button and stick your finger in. My number is 93 , the same as my doctors office. I took some deep breaths and 10 seconds later it read 95, very sensitive and accurate,THANKS. aphillydog
This is my 4th one and the only one that I can open easy to put the batteries in. With all my others I have to get an old metal nail file (The one I save for taking hair out of the sweeper rollers) to brie it open. It's also very easy to read. Thank you
This pulse-ox is similar to others and appears to provide accurate readings. My only gripe is the direction of the readout. It is upside down to the person wearing it. Good if someone else is reading it (i.e., medical professional). Not so convenient when you're reading it yourself.
The oximeter is very easy to set up and is very intuitive to use. I don't have another oximeter then I can't comment on the accuracy, but the readings seem reasonable. The materials don't seem to be very durable, but this oximeter should do the trick for personal use at home, especially if you don't expect to use it for very long.
I was happy with my ChoiceMMed Oxymeter, which is very sensitive to pulse rate changes, up-to-the second and has display facing user. THIS device's display is faced away from the user (suitable for a nurse to read but not user-oriented) and is very slow to show initial reading. It doesn't seem pulse rate change sensitive, holds older info. Display is bright snd digits are fine, but doesn't work for me at all. I wanted to mount these on my bicycle handlebars to get heart rate info when working out hard up hills, but they sre too slow and change-delayed to be useful.
I am extremely disappointed with this item because it came open and used. I understand that everyone is stressed over the Covid19 situation and I am too which is why I ordered this to begin with. So when I received it I was extremely upset to see someone's finger prints are all over it, the package is missing, and I was too grossed out to touch it. Now more than ever packages should be properly checked before being shipped out and this clearly was not. Never ordering from this seller again.
The clear plastic label over the face is upside-down. This is a big deal because the pulse rate is labeled SpO2 (oxygen level) and the oxygen level is labeled pulse rate. So my normal pulse rate of 74 and oxygen saturation of 98% looks like an oxygen saturation of 74% and could easily prompt unnecessary and costly trips to the hospital for many. I am a physician and spotted the manufacturing error but I do not believe most would realize the mistake. This reflects poor quality control.
It is NOT good for checking your own SpO2 because the display is upside down. There is no option to rotate the display. There are no options at all, no alarm so no alarm to adjust, etc. I have many other pulse oximiters including a different model from FaceLake (FL-100). I put this one in the junk/toy category, they cut EVERY corner possible. It seems OK for accuracy. It often starts out on the low side. This might cause stress if you don't have anything to compare with. Doctor visits are very expensive. If you NEED one because you have medical issues I recommend spending a few dollars more for something else. If you only intend to use it to measure other people you might find it acceptable. One reason I have more than one pulse oximiter is because theese things go thru batteries. The batteries in this FL-400 might last forever but I will never find out because I don't like the user experience. I will probably just rob the batteries as soon as a a different one needs them. My favorite pulse oximiter is a FaceLake FL-100 but it eats batteries even if not in use.
