There were finches in it the first day. They like that they can see through the dome and dine in safety. The birds went to it before the tube style feeder. It's great that you can adjust the space between the dome and the tray to let it different sized small birds

Love this feeder. Sturdy, easy to assemble. Clear dome keeps the feed dry. Base is a good size that can accommodate either birds perching on the edge or actually sitting in the dish as they enjoy feasting. Live mealworms can't crawl out. Dome can be adjusted (lowered or raised) to discourage larger birds from using. The bluebirds quickly learned how to use it and they LOVE it too!! I've been feeding birds for more than 20 years. Highly recommend this feeder for use with live mealworms. The plastic base doesn't get too hot like metal feeders do.

Middle stem bent too easily.

There is no way a bird can get in that thing. What was I thinking?! 🤦‍♀️
