Moving from NM to CO, we went from owning to renting, and from a four person hot tub with 240v heating, to a 110 volt, 6ft (exterior measurement) round inflatable. The missus uses it for "thermotherapy" to ease a variety of pains; I keep it up to speed, but there is room for both of us to sit comfortably in it. The Saluspa brand is the same model as several others with the same dimensions and features. I was careful to order the rubber-bottomed felt pad to protect the bottom of the hot tub. We placed it on a concrete patio. Assembly was very straightforward, but it's easy to misunderstand a couple of steps along the way. It helped to look at a couple of You Tube videos. Performance: because the tub holds about 175 gallons of water, it is not hard for the 110 volt heating pump system to keep the temperature at 102 degrees. It was also robust enough to withstand a night in the upper teens, though I did cover the heating unit with heavy duty moving blankets, and once it rose above 40 degrees, I removed them. The water temp dropped to about 85 degrees overnight, but the high quality of the materials easily handled the stress. I use bromine instead of chlorine to reduce stressing the materials, and everything else about the care of the water is straightforward. I am exceptionally pleased with the adjustment to the simpler design of the Saluspa. Good air bubbles, too. The value is spectacular. If the inflatable tub lasts two years, the operating cost would still be about half of that for the care and feeding of a larger, permanent one. If you can be happy with a two person 6-footer, I don't see a better better benefit/cost ratio anywhere. I believe the round model, at just under 8 feet in diameter would indeed the needs of four people at the same time. Last thing: The height of the tub enables the missus to step into and out of it with no problems. The control panel is reasonable and has a safety setting to lock it from kids messing around with it. The lid is easy to remover and has six straps with snap locks that require three fingers to open it. I recommend getting three key-lock replacements on alternating straps to secure the tub from unwanted users. Pay attention to the safety warnings about electricity risks--the tub is safe when used properly with respect, as is true for ANY hot tub.
I definitely had a friend assist because they already had experience setting one of these up so some of the recommendations that I received was to make sure you have enough room all the way around the hot tub, make sure that your hot tub is set up properly before you begin to fill it near the proper outlet and Shirley find some accessories to help you enjoy the overall process of hot tub tubbing at home Tried to upload photos, but the app would not permit it. I have several photos to showcase the size in acute space.
Amazingly beautiful Easy to put together. Large enough for 4 but you won't want to share it. Great for a romantic evening with your better half. Their customer service was top notch too
Fairly easy to setup with YouTube videos. A good value for money - better than a $5,000 hot tub for sure.
Nice pad for the price under our inflatable hot tub. Placed on deck underneath tub. Nice for not slipping when we get out.
1) Very vague installation instructions except what's on the shipping box. 2) Since this unit pumps air bubbles, the air comes from the outside, which is cold. Even if it's only 50° outside, after about three minutes of having the bubble feature on, the temperature will drop almost 5°. If you continue to have the air blower on, the temperature will always continue to drop. Not a good feature!!
product never arrived and I am still fighting to get my refund. I also bought a warranty for the thing which I have not received a refund for either. this was the second hot tub I tried to buy through Walmart the first one never arrived either but I got my money back.
I am beyond frustrated with this SaluSpa inflatable hot tub . I was initially excited about a budget-friendly way to relax at home, but that excitement lasted exactly 14 days before the heater completely gave out. For the first two weeks, it worked fine, though it took forever to reach 104°F. Then, without warning, the water temp just started dropping. No matter what I did—resetting the pump, checking the filters, or ensuring the power source was stable—the heater wouldn't kick back on. I've since found out that these units are notorious for heater element failures and "E02" error codes due to poor internal design and flow sensor issues. Dealing with customer service has been a nightmare. They put you through a loop of "troubleshooting" steps you've already done just to avoid honoring the warranty. If you're looking for something that lasts more than a single pay cycle, save your money and put it toward a real hard-sided tub. This is a disposable product masquerading as a luxury. Pros: Easy to set up (if it actually worked). Cons: Heater failed in 2 weeks, terrible customer support, cheap internal components.
I WOULD HAVE HAD TO RECEIVE IT TO GIVE AN HONEST ANSWER..AND CONSIDERING I NEVER GOT MY MONEY REFUNDED PLUS THE WHOPPING $5 YOUR AGENT SAID HE WOULD ADD TO IT FOR MY INCONVENIENCE OF NOT GETTING IT FOR THE GIFT TO GO WITH THE HOTTUB I ALSO PURCHASED FROM YOU..SO IT JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER DEALING WITH INCOMPETENCE...A DELIVERY DRIVER WHO CAN READ A MAILBOX,AND THEN A REPRESENTATIVE WHO APOLOGIZED AND TOLD ME IT SAID THEY CANT REPLACE IT AND SHIP ME A NEW ONE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HERE ON TIME. 80 inches is too small for 82 inch hot tub. We haven't opened it yet. Do you have a larger diameter mat?
