Farberware 7-inch Diameter Soft Grips Mesh Strainer in Black

So far so good. A little bit worried about metal getting into the food. But I have not experienced that yet. Sturdy and hooks onto the pot, which is nice.

This Farberware strainer was not on my shopping list at first but we are moving and I packed away all the kitchen gear I didn't think I needed for a few weeks. But I forgot how many times I've had to strain vegetables, hamburger etc so I got this with my regular list of groceries. It wasn't expensive and fitted into my budget and is just the next size up and of the one I stored so it's perfect now and will still serve in our new kitchen!

After about fifty or more years cooking for my family and friends, I finally found the need for one of these. I've managed with a sieve with much larger holes. This one is great and it enables me to catch every tiny piece. Nice handle and the weight is distributed well. Good purchase.

Not the cheapest, but solid, made of good materials, and very comfortable in my "senior" hands.

I really appreciate a product that you can tell someone spent time designing. The grip handle and lip on the edge are great details to make this product easy and comfortable to use. It was great to strain the seeds out of raspberries while making a sauce for cheesecake. I could easily set it on the bowl and know that it would stay put without falling in. I really appreciate that it is dishwasher save. I saw other reviews saying that they had problems with rust, but I have not had that problem. The mesh is attached well to the thick edges so I know it will not come detached and break. I was gifted this product for my honest review, and I honestly would buy this product. It is high quality and durable.

I love this strainer. I have had other metal ones in the past, and the metal bends, comes loose, or feels rough. This strainer is strong, and the metal is fully sealed. I'm confident it will last for multiple uses. I like the sturdiness of the basket. It's big enough for my pot of pasta. The handle feels balanced, and is very comfortable. I like that it's dishwasher safe. This is a strainer that I will be using for a long time in the future. This Farberware Mesh Strainer is fantastic! I love keeping a handheld strainer on hand in the kitchen to help strain finer foods, when a colander is too big for the job. The first thing I love about this strainer is the soft grip handle. It feels comfortable and easy-to-grip in your hand. The strainer is easy to hold onto and very sturdy. If I pour something into it, I dont feel like its a strain on my hand/wrist to hold it up. I also enjoy that the mesh is very stiff and keeps its shape. I have an older strainer that Ive had for years and the mesh has bent some, making it harder to use. I dont see that happening with this strainer because the mesh seems to be very sturdy. The best feature, in my opinion, is the plastic lip to hold onto a bowl or pot. Whether Im draining a can of veggies or sifting my flour-this mesh strainer will be my new kitchen go-to!
